Root [International Tegra 3] Beats Audio on Venom

I have just rooted my HTC One X and have initially installed Venom Viper 3.4.
I have noticed that the Beats audio function is not available. In the settings menu the option is there, but it is greyed out and cannot be activated.(See attached Screenshot)

As this is my first time rooting and installing I am not sure whether this is an issue with this particular ROM or it's due to the rooting process and it won't be available with any ROM.

I'd say you need headphones plugged in, but I can see from the icon, they are. During the flash, did you inadvertently disable beats in Aroma? Have you tried Fixing Permissions via recovery?

If you head in to the sound menu, is there an option for different EQ's there?

Thanks for the reply. when installing the ROM I just followed the basic default functions to start with.

I have tried going into the sound menu, whilst the earphones are plugged in and you can indeed select the Beats Audio, along with quite a few other options.
