Yes, you can get the normal UI. One of the things that made me hesitate on the Inc was the fact that turning it off isn't the same as running stock Android. There are still a bunch of Sense processes and modifications present and running the background. That being said, I heard a rumor that the option to turn off sense was missing in Desires that actually shipped. I wasn't able to find confirmation of this, though, so I'm chalking that up as a rumor.

Wow, I just finished catching up (about 20ish pages) and would like to say nice job to those working on finding and confirming information. With that, I'm done for a bit as my brain is full!

I hope the phone can upload video to Facebook. I bet an Android app will allow it, but I'm not sure.

Android app development is really taking off....we'll be seeing that added soon if it isn't already available.

I don't know for sure, but I'm gonna say yes. I would imagine pre-orders will ship FedEx overnight on the 28th so that you receive it on the 29th. I know they offer free overnight shipping quite frequently so this would make sense. I'll probably pre-order just to get it ASAP.

I did notice where BGR made mention it will be $199 for a 2yr contract and pre-order will be available a week before. Did they get that info from this thread or their own source? I don't recall seeing concrete info regarding this here.

That may be true, but the iPod/iPhone Facebook app can not view any video posted via mobile anyway.
 
Keep in mind the Facebook app is barely 6 months old. They were really late to the Android bandwagon. Meanwhile, the guy who was responsible for the iPhone app wrote apps for the iPhone before an SDK even existed. He's no longer developing for the FB app, citing frustration with Apple's policies....

It's probably why there still is no native FB app for the iPad.

I'd definitely wanna go for the pre-order myself. When do we find out about that? :confused: I'll be having to pay the full retail price:mad: I used my NE2 for my wife's Droid for Christmas.
 
I have read several articles about the confirmed Droid Incredible release of the 29th and of course have seen that picture on Verizon's website, but i'm confused... is the phone getting anounced the 29th or will it be available to purchase on the 29th? because i'm going on a road trip in may and would love to have the phone before then especially for the gps.

Pre-orders are usually sent the night before the release so you will get it the next day...or the day after that.
 
I read somewhere that the Incredible would have "Push Gmail and Exchange" - does anyone know if it will have push Google Voice as well? Any confirmation / clarification would be appreciated.

Google Voice had an annoying delay with text messages (5 mins, tops), but the newest version has them push to the handset.
 
I am not remembering how this works so maybe someone can help me out. I am going to do an annual upgrade for the Incredible. Am I going to be able to preorder through the phone or am I going to have to go to a Verizon store to pick it up?

Went to my vzw store today and sales rep could not find incredible in system but he did find adr6300. He said it would be released on April 29. He also said it would not be in store on that date but only available online. Can anyone verify?

Agreed, It seems their quality has gone down in recent years. I prefer the mom and pop places over the national chains 8 days a week with a couple of exceptions....now I'm hungry, quit talking about food.
