Help Performance nightmare

I'm hoping someone can help, this last week my S3 seems to have started performing super slow which is driving me nuts. I thought it was the Google Keep app I installed so removed that but no different.
It's so bad it takes about 10 seconds just to load my calendar.

Any tips on how I can find the cause of this and get rid?

I would suggest going into the stock recovery (assuming you are not rooted) and wipe the cache, then reboot.

Make sure your device is completely off
Key Combos: Volume Up + Home
While holding both of them simultaneously press the Power button
As soon as the phone vibrates, let go of the Power button but keep holding Volume Up + Home
When you see the "Samsung Galaxy S III" logo (not just the word "Samsung"), right after that, the next screen you should see is your recovery
Don't let go of Volume Up + Home until you see your recovery
