Pen and Paper Roleplaying Games

I searched the Gaming forum but couldn't find a thread on this so I thought i'd start one. I can't believe no-one has done this before although from the AFRPFG thread I gather a few of you are roleplayers.

I wonder how many more roleplayers on the forum there are? It's an Android forum so it's not outside the bounds of possibility! :D

I started in 1979 with basic D&D and moved onwards and upwards from there. I estimate I now own well over 100 different RPG systems and probably over 1000 RPG books in total taking up three bookcases in my study. I mainly GM as we don't have many others in our group who like to run games.

My current favourite systems are Cyberpunk 2020 and Exalted although I do run a 1st ed AD&D game too (next session this afternoon as it happens).

I also wrote and currently run a live action RPG based on Cyberpunk for about sixty people. Hectic but fun.

So come on, any other roleplayers here and if so, what are your favourite games?

I haven't played in a while, but I used to play

2nd AD&D
Cthulhutech
Battletech
4th D&D

And I had rulebooks for Shadowrun for a few weeks. I also do forum and in-game RP (I'm a roleplayer in EVE Online), but those don't typically count ;)

Hurrah. I was beginning to think I was chasing shadows. :D

I have a similar background, started playing D&D in the late 70s. Then the addiction got worse.
TSR (AD&D, 2nd Ed, 3rd Ed, Star Fronters, Gamma World, Top Secret)
Palladium games (Rifts, TMNT, Robotech, etc)
FASA games (Shadowrun, BattleTech, Earthdawn)
Games Workshop (Warhammer RPG, tabletop games: 40K, Bloodbowl)
West End Games (Torg and Paranoia)
White Wolf (Vampire, Werewolf, and Changling)
Game Designers Workshop (Dark Conspiracy and Twilight 2000)
Atlas Games (Feng Shui and Unknown Armies)
Cyberpunk
Seventh Sea
All Flesh Must Be Eaten
Deadlands
GURPs
Battle Lords of the 23rd Century
Call of Cthulhu

I think I enjoyed the Deadlands and Seventh Seas systems the most (the original sysytems not the D20 adaptations). I also appreciated how the White Wolf systems interlocked (VtM, WtA, and CtD were all able to interchange if required). Of course D&D was my first RPG and holds a ton of nostalgia.
