Root rom toolbox pro is it worth it?

Rom toolbox pro is on sale this week (month?) I already own titanium backup pro & set cpu. I am wondering if the toolbox is still useful, & if I should invest in it. Right now seems to be a good time to get this app.

Depends what you want to use it for. I have Toolbox Lite on my GNex, but don't even use it on my N7.

I use it for reboot, shutdown, recovery shortcuts on my screens, to restore an older version of TWRP and to browse my device to delete files. I like it.

It does a LOT of stuff.

Like Colchira, I use the shortcuts, and also jump into root browsing. There's a neat ability to copy and than paste, from anywhere to anywhere else, while digging around. That took a while to find the menu for.

The overall impression, is that there's a lot of unneeded bloat, some things better left to other APP's, and your own Play-Store searching. For instance, boot animations and theme manager, Just not needed or their going to waste your time trying out, because implementing them, is inviting Toolbox, to (essentially) wipe down your windshield with it's dirty rag, when stuck at a light, right after you had your car washed. The Play-store experience will be like the car-wash experience was, in comparison.

Thanks for your input, I decided to try it out since it was on sale...I'll have to see how I like the file browser, and other options. I am guessing there are some things I should stay away from if I'm worried about slowing my tablet down or getting cluttered up. Anything else I should stay away from besides the theme and boot animations?

According to the Play Store "update site for Toolbox, in the "what's new" column, at the bottom, it say's, REMOVED AD BLOCKER, (required for Google Play).

The first thing I di after purchasing this, months ago, was turn off the ad's. Since then, I've routinely updated, as updates come available, but I'm holding off on this.

It seems that after paying for this software, I would HAVE TO put up with ad's being displayed?

Can anyone confirm this?

AdAway still working here.

Rom Toolbox Pro has no ads.

That's good to hear. The thing I read must have been for the free version, (which must be downloaded by itself). Because the pro key, isn't the whole working program if memory serves, it just integrates into the free version.

Thanks for letting me know.

I've had both lite and pro versions installed at the same time. AFAIK, there is no "key" for this app.

Yea, my mistake, mixed up Titanium Backup with Rom Toolbox, some weird form of dyslexia takes over some times.
