So, if I am on a family shan plan will the phone cost me 299? Is it 199 if you get the ne2 and the mail in rebate?

Since, my line is not the primary line I don't qualify for the NE2.

Repost: I've never ordered a new phone on first day of release before. Is the first batch of devices usually buggy and have issues? If so, is it best to wait for a second batch of devices? I'm comparing it to the likes of video game consoles. :/

Also: How come we didn't know about this 99% Conference in New York today? Unless we did and I missed it somewhere? haha

but certainly more on topic then lots of other conversations. I am not a verizon customer and I'm wondering a couple things:

A) I don't see on their website a better deal on the data plans if you buy the phone outright (like tmobile)

B) My plan @ ATT does not end until 5/8 so I can't port my number, which isnt a HUGE deal to me, but will be for my wife, so I was thinking I will pre order it and change numbers on a regular plan then on the 8th upgrade to a family plan and add my wifes ported number and she can get another. Is there another way where both our numbers can be ported besides waiting until the 8th?

C) what price range am I looking at for 2 of these? from the website it looks like it might be about $180 a month for 1400 minutes + unlimited data and text? can anyone confirm that? Or do I need the talk only if I get a smartphone with data??

Thanks for the help.

Funny they live blog the Microsoft crap phones but everyone hears this announcement through twitter...bad a** phone though...definitly sports car inspired lol

Here is the pricing:

Price and availability:
  • DROID Incredible will be available for pre-order online at www.verizonwireless.com beginning on April 19 and it will be in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores on April 29. Pricing will be $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.

Wait, does this mean that if you're ordering it online (pre-ordering), the price is actually $299 and you still have to do a mail-in rebate??

Well, I just got off the phone with some woman from Verizon.

It seems that I can't do that promotion where I can exchange to a non-smart phone to a smartphone early and my 2 year contract isn't up..

The woman said she played with the phone yesterday and she said it was fast. I told her I really wanted that phone badly and she giggled..

THIS STORE WAS NOT PHOTOSHOPPED!

This might be a scam, but here it goes...

Currently I have a Dare with the insurance. Can I call up Verizon and report my phone as lost. Then wait till the new one comes in the mail and the INC comes out. Then buy the INC and sell both Dares on ebay?

Sorry if I sound ignorant, I just don't know how it works?

I dunno, I guess the real question is can you live with yourself knowing that you are a lying, cheating scumbag? Based on the fact that you felt comfortable asking this question in an open forum tells me that, unfortunately, the answer is yes.

If you have one near, get from Best Buy- no wait for the $100 rebate and if you have problems with it, return to the store :)

CAPTAIN!!! The HTC Incredible has been announced, how do you feel about that?

So I came across this article and it really doesnt state anything new but one line near the end caught my interest..It seemed like an odd typo so I was wondering if anyone else saw anything along these lines...

HTC Droid Incredible details leaked / The Christian Science Monitor - CSMonitor.com

The quote was:
The ad posted to the Verizon site showed a release date of Thursday, April 21 for the HTC Droid Incredible.

now I could see if the 1 was a typo for 9 but Thursday instead of Friday? Did anyone else see anything along these lines or does this article just suck that much at collecting info?

The page now has an editors note stating April 21st was a typo, the release date is April 29.

Asking this question again... anyone know if the hardware can be released as "n" capable and then made available with a future update? Just curious if we can still hope for n with this phone (ever)...

Is this where you want to be when Jesus comes back man?

Can't wait for this phone! The Verizon faithful will finally be rewarded for their patience. A few questions though.....

Does 2.1 support MS Exchange?

How many e-mail accounts can be set up?

Can they be set up as separate mailboxes?

Thanks.

How long until Seidio has accessories available for Incredible?

I really prefer their belt clip, and they usually have a few battery options as well.
