I picked it up last night off your momma's night stand...oooooooooohhhhhhhhh!!!! burn!!! :p

Just kidding of course and this isn't my usual line of humor so please take no offense. As far as your question, i hope you can appreciate that i can't get into that, and that it is specifically the "iron curtain" of confidentiality and trust that keeps this site so well informed.

Until the next scoop, yours truly, Anonimac!
lol, I live you Anon. Of course I wasn't asking for an actual source like "Steve of 23 Main St, NY gave it to me", but more of a "Came from BestBuy paperwork, or a Verizon staging page, or a psychic Eskimo".

Am i blind or is there a surprising absence of mention of 8gb internal flash?
thats what i was thinking too.

do u know anything about this whole wireless n stuff?

i was thinking, doesnt the n1 have wireless n but its not activated? i thought i heard that once. maybe this phone has wireless n but it isnt activated?

Am i blind or is there a surprising absence of mention of 8gb internal flash?

when i signed up at HTC Incredible?

The confirmation email i received contains this text:

AND IF YOU CAN FIND SOMETHING IT DOESN'T DO, PICK UP ONE OF 30,000 APPS IN THE ANDROID MARKET THAT WILL.
PRE-ORDER ONLINE ONLY STARTING APRIL 19TH

* ACTUAL FORMATTED CAPACITY IS LESS

This might be a scam, but here it goes...

Currently I have a Dare with the insurance. Can I call up Verizon and report my phone as lost. Then wait till the new one comes in the mail and the INC comes out. Then buy the INC and sell both Dares on ebay?

Sorry if I sound ignorant, I just don't know how it works?

That is known as FRAUD. It is both illegal and dishonest.

8gb on board is still there.

Why not mention that or the FM radio, though? Two key points for differentiation and missed in their press release? Did the same people that put the manual together provide the spec data for the presser?? ;)

The dark and negative side would suggest that it is an 8gb microsd and the reason the HTC release does not show it is that it is not part of the bill of material (added by Verizon). Also no FM radio, either.

Still, two main features missed and one being a biggie (8gb)? Bad marketing, BAD!

Can't wait for this phone! The Verizon faithful will finally be rewarded for their patience. A few questions though.....

Does 2.1 support MS Exchange?

How many e-mail accounts can be set up?

Can they be set up as separate mailboxes?

Thanks.

HTC Sense UI supports MS Exchange. I do not know about plain Android 2.1.

You can only have one MS Exchange account. HTC mail application supports as many accounts as you have. I don't know about the gMail application.

HTC mail application has each account in a separate mailbox. You can switch mailboxes very easily by tapping the arrow to the right of the account name at the top of the HTC mail application. You can also set a default mailbox so that when the HTC mail application is opened, the emails for that account is displayed.

You do have to setup your phone with one gMail account. This account is managed by the gMail application Also, this is the account that the Android Market is tied to.

Edit: The HTC Mail application handles html.

I hate that they are referring it as the "DROID Incredible by HTC". Such a long-winded name.

They can call it what ever they want. It could be called the Droid Incredible pink bunny..... with sprinkles and sunshiny goodness...by HTC...Or DIPBSSG for short....It wouldn't matter to me ;)

My question also. If it's a pre-order for pickup at the store or delivery to my house what's the purpose. I'll just leave work early, go to the store and pick it up.

Pre order online you get instant discounts and the phone is delivered to your door on the 29th which is the day the stores will have it BUT if you buy in store you will get mail in rebates.

I don't know why it wasn't mentioned.

I'm just telling you that both features are definitely there.

It it were just a 8gb microsd card included with the phone I doubt they'd be saying 8GB onboard memory, and it mentions the radio in the manual so it seems they rushed the PR out and didn't finish it completely.

I'm gonna go shake down the local Verizon reps at lunch to see if I can confirm the pre-order delivery on the 29th.

you would be able to sell your new dare immediately.
the esn of your "lost" one will be no good because verizon will mark it "lost".
in my experience with sprint, the esn will become clear in about 8 mos.

The 8Gb was in the confirmation email, IIRC. Also, the FM radio doesn't seem to be something everyone announces nowadays. I don't know many people who would consider that a killer feature, and you don't want to overwhelm people with loads of details.

Best Buy gives the $100 rebate instantly (confirmed for Inc as well- unless the Best Buy person just fibbed to me).

I'm 90% positive this is my next phone, the other 10% will need to come from some hands-on reviews. I WANT this to be my next phone! (goodbye iPhone 3G)

If I pre-order the phone on the 19th, am I able to cancel my pre-order by the 29th? (just in case some early reviews make me change my mind)
