just talked to verizon in addison, il. the guy said i can come in on the 19th to preorder the inc. and take care of my ne2 discounts and any other rebates.

If I have the chance of NOT paying an extra $100 dollars (for the mail in rebate) since you get it instantly online, I have no problem waiting for the phone to be delivered at any time on Thursday 4/29.

That to me is a no-brainer.

To go to the store, pay $299.99. To order online pay only $199.99. (and in my case it could be $99.99 since I also get NE2 discount).

So who knows.

This could be the case of Verizon not getting the word out to their outsourced first-level support call centers on a timely basis.
 
i signed up for VZW on 4/5 and got my Droid. I know they have a 30 day guarantee in which i can swap the phones for a $35 restocking fee. Can i pre-order the phone and get it swapped. Or must I goto the same store that I recieved the first phone from and do it there. I am concerned about the fact that my 30 days ends on 5/5 and I am unsure of availability at each VZW store.
 
So I just called Internet support about the delivery date and they stated that the order will be processed on the 29th and will be shipped out on the 29th. She also stated that it would be 1-2 Business days to get the phone.

Anyone from VZW, can you confirm this. I know that someone posted earlier that you would get it on the 29th, but where did that info come from?
 
Sorry if this has already asked, but I cannot keep up today! :)

Anything we can do right now to get in line on a vzw site?

Says they should be delivered the 29th.
 
I'm sure this might have been answered numerous times in this thread but how is the AMOLED in direct sunlight? That and wearing polarized sunglasses on my Moto Droid is terrible on the screen.

Well, I think it depends on a few things. If you get the instant online rebates when you pre-order, you won't be paying as much up front for the phone, going into the store you will have to deal with mail in rebates. Also, if your local Verizon store is anything like mine, it is a madhouse all the time, even on a routine day. I would hate to see it on a release day of a big time device. That being said, I have no desire to go the store, it will be a mini version of Black Friday around here at my store, so forget it. I will be sitting on my comfy couch, watching some Sportscenter and letting the Incredible come to me!!;)
 
This is good news. Does anyone know when Bestbuy will start selling? Also what the cost will be through bestbuy? I know that they are usually cheaper and no mail in rebates to deal with, + Silver members can get 1000 points if the phone is purchased by 4/25

Or have them deliver it to your place of work.....then you have something to look forward to during the day and something to occupy your time for the rest of the day at work when it arrives....

I have as much faith in this as I have in 720p recording being available later. Not. gonna. happen.

I do believe that the D.I. will get software updates, but Verizon isn't going to uncripple what it has already decided to cripple. Its Verizon, folks .. they don't work that way.
