Saturday night here after a whole day spent at school :(

That's a bummer. :(

I only spent the morning at school, finding out what they want me to do on Monday. No classes today. Then spent half the afternoon in Dragon City and Golden Bridge looking at crappy clothes that are far too small for me. Saturday afternoon, there's usually not a lot to do.

well, we had an activity in the morning, and I had to defend my thesis proposal in the afternoon. But I'm glad to be home now :)

Digested that duck yet, mike? :D

Yeh the duck has gone, and the donkey as well. :D Problem I find with donkey meat, it always tastes like ass.

Chicken burger, two chicken legs, fries and Pepsi for dinner this evening at Dicos. Ah good ol' western junk food. :) Don't know if you know Dicos wynd, it's a sort of Chinese version of KFC. www.dicos.com.cn

Nope, don't know it. But I do recall on my trip to Shanghai last year that ice isn't allowed in soft drinks? We ate at KFC and got warm Pepsi on a warm night. Not very nice.

You ate donkey too???

Don't think it's the law, that ice isn't allowed in soft drinks like cola. But mainland Chinese usually drink cola and other soft drinks at ambient temperature, and beer as well is usually warm. At Dicos here in Xilinhot, the Pepsi is served chilled, but there's no ice in it. Although at places like McDonald's, BK and KFC in Beijing, in the tourist areas, soda is always served with ice I've found.

Yeh, that was what was in post #5142 http://androidforums.com/lounge/655801-tablet-tavern-103.html#post5707867
...we brought it home in the duck bag, and brocolli in the doggy bag. Because it was left over from the main dinner.

When I was living in Hangzhou, near Shanghai, a couple of years ago. There was a new American teacher, he'd only been in China for a few days, never been here before. I remember seeing his eyes really light up when he found there was Dairy Queen, although his joy was short lived when he took one taste of it. like "What the hell is this?"...one of those welcome to China moments.

I avoid fast food and franchise restaurants when travelling. I don't patronize them here, why would I want it abroad?

Donkey sounds interesting ... I've had horse and buffalo, which was very good.

Never seen the show..... :o

Well, I guess you don't relate, being born long after the '60s. :p

For me it's like reliving my early career. As a matter of fact, I've got a group of guys who I started with in the agency "back in the day" coming over to watch the premiere tomorrow night.

Yes, this was a great day. The sunlight beamed up straight into my brains 'n heart. Feeling happy :)
Bedtime but that's okai. Another one like today is on for tomorrow.
