Root [Sprint/Cricket] How do I get rid of SPRINT bootup animation?

Tried using "boot animation installer" but it doesn't seem to be working.
How can I get rid of the nasty sprint bootup animation and replace it with with a custom one? I mean one that someone else makes, of course. I can't make them myself.

I'm assuming you are rooted but using the stock ROM?

Umm you root and either remove the boot ani,or use rom toolbox and replace it?that's my guess

The S3 will not use a Bootanimation.zip unless rooted and a few other changes made. Even rooted it will not just work.

To use Bootanimation.zip
Using the root explorer, navigate to system/bin
you will be working with 2 files.

*First find a file named "samsungani" (no file extension) and delete or rename it (ex samsunganiBAK)
*Secondly find a file named "bootanimation" (also, no file extension) and rename this file to "samsungani" without the quotation.

Get the bootanimation.zip file that you want to use (or create your own)


Put in System/Media
