How often should I replace the screen protector?

Hey

I was just wondering if I should replace my screen protector because I've had it on the phone for around 5 months now, the reason i didn't replace it yet is because it was put perfectly and there are no scratches, it's not peeling off and there are no bubbles.

Does leaving a screen protector on for a long time leave residue or glue or something? does it damage the screen in any way?

Thanks in advance.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it ;). It's fine where it is. Some screen protector companies offer lifetime warranties for them. Unless you see damage on it, there's no reason to change it.

I had mine on for 6 months (longest I had) but I removed it and now I see marks on it...

Lesson learnt: Never use a screen protector again specially on a Gorilla Glass device -_-

That's really odd. My husband had his on since September last year and last weekend took it off when he replaced the phone...not a mark or smudge on it. It was an Invisible Shield by Zagg.

I had one on my Blackberry for years, when I took it off, same thing, not a mark on it.

You should complain to the company that made it. I would be pissed.

If you leave the phone with no protectors, be careful. The oleo-phobic coating wears off and you end up with a display that doesn't feel smooth anymore and leaves finger prints that resemble scratches. It's very annoying.

I usually swap them when the current one feels rough or has some weird scratches on then which feel annoying.
