Dude, I have been to Malaysia and thats an awesome country. Be sure to take lots of pics for us all to see. :)

You all may be the nicest group of people i have ever met!!!

I do truly wish that we all lived in a community together, it would be like one from a fairy tale.

Gahh how they change things so fast at HQ though! It's maddening.

Palm c40 is out in the wild however..... expect a video not all that far in the future (hin hint) there will more than likely be gloves in this one too bahahaha

Jackson

Jackson, what more can you tell us about the C40? What is the screen size? Is the phone made of the cheap plastic like the pre?

mag51085's recent forum messages (Phone Scoop)

This user, mag51085 on the phonescoop.com site stated he works for Sprint and appears to give prompt replies to questions regarding the phone. He gives some good information over there, but nothing that we haven't heard before. He explains his answers in great detail though, easy to read.

Yea, well, the 7 week training course flashed out in big bold letters to me. It puts us to where we thought we would end up in the beginning, and if its true, apparently are still on schedule for.

So I guess it's not really news, but the affirmation of previous posts (Jackson comes to mind), which has not yet been set in stone.

I think he is a she:eek:

"no problem. I spend my days off and nights off at home doing research on this phone. i love working for sprint and being able to share the info that i have available to me. when i know the info needed i will definately post it onto here for people to be able to utilize. I am excited about this phone. I am cancelling my trip for this summer to be able to afford this phone. my husband and I are both going to be getting this phone"

Yup. That stood out to me the most. AND it backs up Jackson talking about "something" happening and the date being circled by the internal Sprint execs!

These are the poster's exact words:
They just started to releasse a 7 week info course to the employees about the phone that way we can know all the info that we need to know about the phone. they have not released an official release date. any dates that are mentioned are pure speculation. Idealy from previous years ...

That was written today, so if they JUST started releasing that info course, maybe that was the significance of the 4/16 date. There could've been other things connected to today's date, but Jackson was still RIGHT ON with regards to pointing out some sort of signficance.

And yes, 7 weeks from today (1 week = 7 days) brings us to June 3, which is a few days prior to the "early" release date Jackson was talking about and 1 week later the unofficial/"official" release date.

Jackson deserves MUCH props, especially since he's just the messenger.

Viewing the other video in this topic inspired me to make a video of my own. I really didn't want my video to knock anyone elses so I chose to stay as far away from his theme as possible to respect his work. I've made my own video which is a Larry King live interview with Sarah Palin about the Evo4G and cellphone technology. Anyway here it is:

YouTube - Larry King Live With Sarah Palin

HAAHHHAAHH That was good. Im working on Episode 2. Anyone can take my story its open source hahaaah

Yea everything is good here guys. Ugh , we will be so pleased. A little off topic (phone wise anyways) but has anyone ever tried Shapewriter app ? Pretty cool . Just like swype and works smooth as photo shopped skin lols . If so Imagine how it will be on a bigger on screen keyboard like the EVO !

Haha Novoken ! Was that pun intended ? Funny either way . "open source" the smallest jokes and things in this forum get me laughing lols.

I really hope all the negativity and constant whining about Sprint and the lack of crucial EVO info stops soon.

I'm not singling out anyone, and I can understand some restlessness, but this thread is becoming harder and harder to keep up with, the last thing we need is a dozen people constantly re-instating how they're "not happy with Sprint, considering another phone cause they can't wait, EVO info should have been posted", etc, etc.

I understand everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it's starting to read like spam.

A lot of us here enjoy the positive camaraderie shared between the majority of the members, so please, don't ruin it for the rest of just because you may feel the need to be negative and completely unrealistic.

If you feel the need to be constantly pessimistic and are hardly adding to the thread, keep it to yourself or take it to another forum.

hey I want to thank whoever found that whole "type D" connector for the HDMI output. I almost bought type C assuming it would be that. I'm still waiting for monoprice to get the type D connectors but for now, I've reorganized the 4 outputs on the outside TV to make room for the EVO dock and HDMI cable. I already know I'll be showing some pictures to family and videos of my daughter

That's funny that you're preparing your AV system so early for the EVO's arrival... I'm already starting to think about buying a car mount so there's no lag period between when I get the phone and when I can use it in the car. I use the proclip system because they have really seamless mounts for every car model and every phone/device, but it takes a few weeks for them to send it to you (I think they might be made to order). Check em out if you haven't seen them:

Hello all...long time lurker, first time poster. Just had to register and say thanks for putting all of this great information out there! I've been following this thread daily since before CTIA, and the information presented here is simply top notch...AND has me salivating for the EVO. Many thanks to all of you for providing updates and info to those of us interested in this magnificent device.

I have been a Sprint customer for six years now, and until I started reading this forum, I was set to use my upgrade for the Hero. While it's a good phone, I'm glad I found this place and can now hold out for the EVO! :) Thanks for making this place a source of good information and positive vibes...can't wait to own my first Android device!

Can play you a little movie to when on the road by yourself . Looks good .

I admit to having put on some sprint tv on my htc ppc-6800 while on the highway, but the mount is just to the side of my forward line of sight so I can still see the road, and I only did it on long stretches without traffic. Mainly though, it's great for pandora, other streaming radio, mp3s, navigation, and speaker phone. Love it.

true mogolust . don't want anybody crashing out there ! Yea I don't listen to the radio much just my own tunes so I'll probably do the same thing . Or ipod since it can hold more music wise but ugh other then that I dislike apple. to cocky . made me think of the case sprint made for the ipad haha

Well I can't take all the credit. It was skpd who pointed out that it did not look like mini HDMI which I think we all took for granted up until now as micro HDMI is brand new.

The one thing I wanted to point out is that while the dock is not out yet I would guess there is a high probability that the dock will have a standard HDMI port, probably not a bad idea to have one of these new type D cables for use without the dock but I just wouldn't be surprised if you ended up using regular HDMI from the dock to the TV.

Hey TheRiot - welcome to the forums (officially I mean). I'm glad you didn't use your upgrade for the Hero. It's a pretty solid device, but I think it lacks the speed you're going to enjoy on the EVO. About 2 more months - it's not that far away and we'll get to enjoy one hell of a gadget
