Root Square Card Processor, or Paypal Here?

I'm evaluating using a Kindle Fire HD 8.9 (likely rooted) as a giving kiosk for my charity. I would likely use a Square or a Paypal Here card swipe. Because of the proprietary twist on the OS, neither of these services are supported on the Kindle Fire.
I would like to know if anyone knows, or would be willing to test if the Square or Paypal Here apps install and function on a rooted Fire.
Any other advice would be greatly welcome.

Square register and paypal here installed and seem to work well on HD 7" Rooted . I dont k ow about the card reader itself . Ask your question here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2186 its 8.9 Q&A forum.
