Help HTC Desire HD WIFI turned off when unlocking the phone?! (resolved)

Hi Everyone im new to this site so please dont judge if i posted this somewhere where it doesnt belong.. soo it goes like this i have a HTC Desire HD A9191
Android Version : 2.3.5
HTC Sense Version : 3.0
My Big Brother gave this phone to me a month ago well it was used for a long time but it was working perfectly fine with everything as he gave it to me a month ago it was ok few days ago i noticed that whenever i unlock my phone to see if i have missed calls/messages or search something on internet my WIFI is not on the notification bar i mean its like im not connected to any WIFI it gets on 5-6 seconds after i unlock it, its like its shutting itself off when i lock the phone and when i unlock it it gets connected it really pisses me off as i like fast things so i wanna unlock it and get on Facebook,Youtube etc... like you guys? but instead i have to wait few seconds for it to get connected its not happening only with my wifi its the same at my friends house so i guess the problem is in the phone Help please????
 
Hi. Have you looked at your wifi settings? There is an option there to keep wifi on during sleep when the screen is off. So its settings>wifi>advanced. Should find the option in there.
 
I don't think you can mark it. I wouldn't worry about leaving it on here anyway but if you like to keep the forum tidy I guess you could PM a mod and ask if he could delete the post for you.
 
Members can't delete their own posts - Brutal's right... you can report your own post to bring it to Mod attention, if you'd like. We prefer not to delete posts though, as they could be useful to others :)
