which also means no hardware redesign can happen.... or will have to go through it all again. Since new hardware = new stuff for the FCC to test to see if its harmful or anything bad.
That doesn't mean they haven't already changed some hardware, just that any changes haven't been announced, or leaked for that matter.

Jackson, were you referring to pictures you already posted or new ones ? Cause I think you forgot the link bud lol ..

and I just clicked on the link you posted earlier showing the pictures and i scrolled to the bottom which i didn't do the first time and it has a unique battery to me . its long when most are square like . and looks like they can take there back off finally .

then the sprint.com/evo would be changed as well as the developers site they wouldnt keep that secret no point to. and why would they show it at CTIA then change it weeks later? makes no sense. Its not gonna have super AMOLED type screen its stats are what it says on Sprint - HTC EVO? 4G. They reason they s choose TFT was for cost and no point increasing the memory when it wont even be using half of what it has already. Why add more ram if it wont take advantage of it. These kind of rumors are why things in forums get so bad. Stick with what we know till you have some kind of proof beyond hearsay. Will only make the forum erupt in flame wars and the typical drama.

JinCa,
oh darn forgot to put the link sorry lols : HTC EVO 4G Firstlook . Yea I was caught up in the Qik videos lols . But yea I was looking through all his videos . Those are just the front facing cam vids . I think the quality should be better with the back cam . But Qik still is going to lower the content =/ . But in this video he says they are trying to work on tweaking Qik to better the quality . Starting at 2:30 minute mark is where he mentions it and on so you wont have to watch the entire vid : YouTube - HTC Evo 4G from Sprint hands on

Thanks for the link man :) I hope they are right about the 30 fps, I remember calling up HTC after the N1 came out and talked to a really nice rep there and he told me the video capture on that was only 20 fps and I told him that was a let down and he actually agreed lol.

Dude, this forum is based on what we don't know. Quit raining on our parade.

I think when they said surprises they were mostly talking about multimedia partners and stuff like that, more app kind of thing than hardware upgrades, it could very well have more ram/rom but I would bet if anything changed with the hardware that'd be about it.

Seeing as Sprint is keeping everything under wraps and the only real info has come from me it is PERFECTLY FINE for anyone to speculate. Unless you have a hard fact that says they are OUTRIGHT WRONG, take it easy and let everyone have a little fun with it. After all, isn;t taht what we're here for. All of us are getting the phone, nw we are just building up the suspense around people just like us

when have they kept any stats under rap? The pre we knew everything before release same with the instinct the hero moment touch pro 2. They the stats to it on their website. Only thing under wraps is release date and price. beyond that everyone knows what it will look like come with hardware stats and even the plan requirements (which everyone knows is everything data or above plans) so only thing we need to speculate on is release date and price everything else facts are known on.

I agree that some people are intent on being negative, but there's no need for it. We're going to have the best phone, the best service and the best prices around and I'm very happy about it. I would guess that most of us here feel the same way. I only see a few like that like to complain, bitch and moan about Sprint.
As one gets closer to full deliverance, we will see a lot of posts being negative, post that are full of disappointment and posts that are way off topic. Just stay focus people. It was already mentioned by Self Praise and Supersonical that April 16 would be not a big thing, the higher ups in Sprint are changing things daily, almost instantaneously. And that's exactly what happened. Sprint knows they can't mess this up, its their flagship device and one that touts the 4G service so they are actually bending over backwards to make sure it s done right. So if they extend the date a bit to make the commercials better as well as the phone then let them.

As for those that can't wait, thats okay too. Go get your iphone, your Incredible, your iPad. But once you all see your friends with the EVO and see how fast it is and how smooth it is and how it enhances your ipad, iphone, other phone on the 4G network, at a lower price, we will be the one smiling.

Bottom line, I already said that the June 6-23th time frame is whats important to us. Anything before is simply hearsay and extra juicy tidbits if it comes out to be true.

As for the Facebook date issue. I did not put much faith in that. I wouldn't expect anyone else to do so either. And jackson/Supersonical only stated what was sent to him. As i mentioned above, the higher ups are changing things fast and April 16 ended up being any other day. I see not fault/fail in his prediction or outcome.

Sprint doesn't need to hurry up in my opinion, just get it right. its their flag ship device and thus needs the best commercials and advertisements that will incites discussion and new sign ups. Nothing will touch this phone for months. Not even the iPhone. (Even though their marketing machine will outpace the EVO and brainwash the masses).

As for those that said happy birthday, thanks, for those that didn't you're banned. :D

except on the 16th nothing was ever planned... his source probably just saw the fb page like everyone else and went nuts because of it. But sprint employees even said their was nothing planned for that day and people ignored them and such. Sprint just needs to get out more official info. Feed the beasts before the beasts get more riled up. My only real worry with sprint and the evo is thier gonna miss out on alot of customers if they dont give out more information on it.

Happy B-DAY SPIR!!!!

Here's the deal though. The only reason the HTC Evo was shown in its "unfinished" state was because it had to be shown. THis was the last opportunity Sprint had to showcase their flagship device at a huge Mobile Event. Had they not done that the world would not be buzzing at ALL about the best phone coming to market- the Evo 4G.

So that is why the Evo was shown with incorrect RAM/ROM, apps, etc. The real stuff was not completed because the event was 3 MONTHS before the release of the phone! So really Sprint did all of us a favor my shwoing it off and informing us that it was doing something big, REAL BIG.

So please lets be nice to everyone because you know nothing more then they do, than i do, than anyone does. Everything i know i tell you so we are all equally educted with the facts =]

Jackson you hit that one on the nail. Its better to at least show a demo than nothing at all. Just like beta software or concept cars, they release it to show the public what is or could be. Besides if there saying it could be better, let them improve the device. Why not have a release date for June and have sweet specs that put other phones to shame.

and this was said about the pre as well . It wasnt a demo or unfinished. Whats published is what we are getting. Til that changes or something is shown showing it changes I say the argument about the internals is done and keep speculation to release date and price as those are the only things we know as rumor. not try to destroy hope or nutin but this happens every time something big is about to release for any carrier and in the end what was shown was what we got.

Also happy b-day two!

I didn't want to really pass this along yet because there is no other hard info for it to go on but i do KNOW that the Evo has passed through the FCC already and is being backdated so that no one can try and draw any info from it. This means the device is about 1 to 1.5 months away which is right within the time frame i have provided numerous times before

can you expand on this any more? do you know that it passed thru the FCC because Dan told you, or you know thru other channels? do you know how long ago it passed thru? before or after CTIA? either way, that's a huge relief if true....

except at the launch of the Pre Dan Hesse never said he had tricks up his sleeves and palm never said that the device was going to have different RAM/ROM. Get at me!

It passed through the FCC after CTIA so there were time for the CHANGES to be made. This was via Dan.

I doubt tahts a real Evo. Someone had a N1 and tried to sell is as the Supersonic before MWC

Jackson have you played around with the HD 2 at all. If you have, does it move in the same way (speed, smoothness) as you saw with the Evo?

I don't believe that site . I seen another site that was trying to sell it and I didn't even bother to post it . I mean the phone is not even ready just yet so what's to sell ?

But yea let's not argue cause I mean Verizon didn't even show up at the CTIA and personally I think reason is because that would of been a little early for them to show the Incredible . They always show devices not to long before the release . Some people think they ship theirs out faster but really Verizon just waits until the release date is close then announce things .

So Verizon customers are on the waiting game to. Why do you think there threads were so bashful. They heard about the Incredible in Jan and then waited almost an extra month after CTIA for it to be announced . So they waited a good while to. Same waiting game we are in but different method of showing it off. That's why theirs wasn't such a big announcement . Imagine a weak announcement like that for the EVO . I mean the phone itself is all that mattered but it being big and live like the CTIA it wasnt and EVO had to be peeked at early .

People jump to the next best thing all time so once the EVO comes people will want that and so on . ignorant people just bash and say whatever with little knowledge and go for whatever sounds good and then it'll hit them later . EVO is coming and I shall wait .

Yeah its pretty sad for sites to place up info like that and try to sell the device even though its not even released yet. I found it funny and sad.

Zaaye, I never seen the EVO like Jackson but I have touched and played with an HD2 and it's smooth as ever . I imagine the EVO probably being smoother if not as smooth .

Yea i do to Captain008

Can anyone explain to me why keeping the fact that the EVO passed through the FCC is a good thing at this point??? With all the speculation of when its coming out, the arrival of the Incredible soon, the arrival of the 4th generation Iphone (Iphone 4G sounds misleading to me) in the summer, and the announcement that the Galaxy S is going to att/t-mobile, this should be released so that the public can say, "OK, this phone is definitely on its way".

Maybe I am reading into this the wrong way but unless people come to this forum to read Jackson's posts, they would pretty much be in the dark as to the time frame the EVO is coming out. Having the headlines at sites such as engadget and phonearena say the EVO passed the FCC would just increase interest and potential customers to Sprint.

My opinion. I'm getting it no matter what. :D
