Help Google play store not working

When I go to Google play I get "Unfortunately Google play store has stopped". This happened out of the blue, it has been working fine. I restarted the phone but that didn't help. Any suggestions?

I have been having some recent issues with google play, saying that a purchase didn't go through on a free app and such. I think it might be a problem with Google play store. although i haven't ever had it force close on me... so I don't know for that

I got it fixed, after searching online, I had to click "uninstall updates" on the google play app and it reinstalled the app back to the original setting

I am having exactly the same problem, Google play keeps automatically shutting when I open it, I uninstalled the updates, but it keeps doing the same thing.

Try going to the same menu and hitting clear data and clear cache? Might do the trick, thats all I can think of. If you're rooted, you can try freezing it and unfreezing. Not sure if unrooted allows that option.
