Tmobile-MetroPCS Merger Updates & Questions

Credit goes to Chaldo from HF

Hello, I have some answers to the MetroPCS Merger questions I have seen on recent topics.

First, MetroPCS will be offering all new phones as GSM phones, will be phasing out old CDMA phones, (huge sales coming soon on them)
As of June 1st 2013 MetroPCS will have sim cards ready to activate any GSM Phone that will run on T-Mobile's network For example if you have a iPhone, you can use it on MetroPCS on June 1st (GSM Version) Even Unlocked AT&T iPhones or any unlocked iPhone that will work with the T-Mobile spectrum bands.
MetroPCS will be coming out with 2 feature phones. 1 Flip, 1 keyboard (rumored Freeform 4)
MetroPCS will still be offering the $25 unlimited Talk and Text after June 1st on these devices, also the $40 and $50 plans for the feature phones.
Also they will still be offering the $40, $50, and $60 4G rate plans for the older and newer 4GLTE GSM phones that will be coming out.
So get ready to have a badass network and badass GSM phones you can purchase, or BYOD.
Be aware any GSM phones that are Blacklisted for non payment, lost/stolen will not work on the GSM network that Metro Will be using as it is T-Mobiles network.
I am pretty much sure all this info is correct.
Thanks.

So, someone should be able to bring over a Nexus 4 and get a Metro sim card and run the Nexus 4 on a $50 plan. How awesome is that!

I think I almost pooped my pants, time to pick up a Nexus for me and a 1st generation note for my fiancee. Once I can afford it.

Soooo in other words the first two GSM phones coming to Metro are going to be an outdated flip phone for old people, and a budget minded Samsing based OS crappy phone with a Qwerty keyboard....*head slam*

I really hope that the new sim card thing is true..because if it is you'll see me buying a Nexus 4 in a heartbeat, enabling the LTE, and flying on speed :)

Cause they are one of their newest markets so its super easy to integrate probably cause of the equipment. I wouldn't be surprised if NYC is next since they are also one of the newer AWS banded cities that Metro has.

The fact that the first couple of phones are gonna be dumbphones doesn't bother me as long as we can get sim cards. We will literally have dozens of phone choices when we start rockin GSM. Who knows, Google may have another phone announcement besides the unlocked GS4 at I/O this week. a Nexus 5 or even a Nexus '4s' would be very nice.
