Help HOW do you change default alarm tone??

vcreation

Lurker
I know u can change it, but whenever u add new alarm it will jump back to that 'forest' music and I cbf redoing it every single time as I use voice command to set alarm. anyone know how to change it?

ok please don't tell me I can press 'More' to select new tone, I KNOW that, but when u make a new alarm it auto jump back to 'walk in the forest alarm', and because I use voice to set multiple alarm, I don't want to go to screen and change each one of them to the tone I want. the forest song is just too soft to wake anyone up. so im not asking how to change alarm tone for each alarm, what I like to know is how to change it forever to another tone that will not jump back to forest song when I make a new alarm.

and I don't want to go with 3rd party software as it don't work with voice command, with voice I simply say 'set alarm 0800' and then 'set alarm 0805' 'set alarm 0810' and so on I make like 5 of them, problem is they all end up with forest song so even if I make 100 alarm won't wake me up just too soft melody.

Hey I don't know if you ever figured out how to change the default alarm on your Android but I have a solution if you haven't. If you download an app called ES File Explorer I found a way with it. You click on whatever Mp3 you want to be your default alarm and it will take and start playing the file in its music player. There is a bell on the far right of the file name while it is playing "the file had to be playing for the bell to be there . Click on it and it gives you a choice between notice, alarm and ringtone. When you click on alarm it changes it to the default alarm. The. ES File Explorer is a pretty good app for doing a lot of things actually you may want to keep it around.
Good luck

Great and straightforward solution! Looked up on other forums and I was suggested to root the device and transfer some files here and there. Anyway, it works now. Thanks!

Ty Jaques Strappe. I have been searching far and wide, and saw you here and on a few other Google sites searched for this problem. I tried it and it works like a charm. No bell anymore, but the more button gives you the set alarm option now. You are my hero...for a day anyway. GLTA
