People don't need to be worried about the reception on this phone. HTC phones have historically reported had a signal bar that reported a weaker signal strength than other phones. In testing and looking at the real signal numbers (dB's), HTC phones always perform quite strong. Most cell phone review sites just don't actually "review" the signal strength of the phone and instead judge the reception based on the bars that are far from a accurate representation of true signal strength.

If you've had a HTC phone in the past you'd see this too. It was always a discussion with Windows Mobile phones when people were asking why their bars were lower than on their previous phones. I've owned a fair amount of HTC phones over the years and I can safely say they work well even in fringe areas. You just need to tell your brain that those bars aren't really giving you the full story.

BTW, in the Android system menus, you can see the actual dB signal strength your phone is actually getting if you are curious how good it actually is.

Well thats what im wondering. Are 2 of the screens reserved for the Scenes or can we remove those widgets also and it pretty much be like a Moto Droid with 7 screens?

I like being able to put whatever i want on all of the screens and wouldn't use the "Scenes" thing if i didn't have to.

So basically i guess my question is.... If i apply a scene will those widgets that come with the scene have to be on the screens they are put on or can i remove them and put different stuff on those screens.

What is a good dB signal higher or lower numbers?
 
Hey, I have probably a stupid question for you guys, but does this have the same usb port as the Eris? Micro....Mini...I get confused! :confused:
 
Way, way, way off topic, and I know most people on here are PC users. Has anyone noticed how the ipad is really just thicker screen off of a macbook?

It's late I'm surfing the net so......what can I say?

By the way putting a cell phone OS on those was completely stupid. It's an ipod touch that you just add water to, and watch it grow.

Add another Storm (or former Storm owner) to that list...the Storm has turned me away from Blackberry...

Side question I noticed that the Unlimited Text was not available on my order form, whats up with that they limiting it or something?

I'm excited waiting for my Incredible I even ordered the by 3pm shipping for 8 bucks(I know I will probably wake up at 10 just to be safe)
 
Well I can't order yet, VerizonWireless.com is useless as always...Urgh, guess I'll have to call this one in.

As for limiting that I don't think so. You should have read through the posts. There is a promo code for the shipping something like FREEOVERNT
 
Did they give an estimated ship date or is it still delivered on 4/29? I have to talk to sales before ordering. I got a CSR to possible budge on 2yr pricing for me even tho I'm only 18 months into my 2 yr contract.

Thats just them acting like they are helping you, giving you the 1yr upgrade, which is 2yr pricing with a $20 fee
 
If there are any VZW employees out there who would be able to possibly adjust my upgrade availability date, I'd be very grateful if you would PM me. I'm actually hopeing to pick up two smart phones over the next couple weeks and currently only have one available upgrade. I'd've thought that VZW would be eager to help me set it up so that I paid them more on a monthly basis....

Well, after not being able to order last night and my account info not even showing up either I was able to pre-order the phone this morning without incident. :D

If you can update your order just go in and do not choose any shipping method and in the promotional code area type in freeovernt. That should save you the 8 bucks.

Technically it's early now, but I was up all night and keep referring as last night as tonight still. lol
 
Ok, so does Verizon use my local time as their "support hours" from the website? I keep calling and getting the FU, call us back when we're open.

It has been a great ride. I am addicted so I will still seek the crack forum but I just ordered my NEW DROID INCREDIBLE!!!! YAY!!! What a way to celebrate my b-day today:eek:.
Before anyone flames, I know I won't get until 4/29 (no I didn't pay for overnight shipping since VZW claims to have it here on Friday anyway). This way I won't have to drive 1.5 hours to the corporate store and pay $199 (with NE2, before mail in rebate).
BYE BYE BlackBerry Storm and OS. All BB switchers we should have a BB bonfire and burn the phones (without the batteries of course).:D

Did you order from the website or telesales? Which number did you call?
 
ZAGG | invisibleSHIELD | HTC Droid Incredible Cases, Screen Protectors, Covers, Shields, Skins, Invisible Shield that's only the front for now. Guess that unique back will take longer to come out?? I've used them and given them as gifts and no complaints so far. I ordered mine this am. I tried after Midnight till about 5:45am (I work nights) and the site was screwy. By 6:10am I was the proud owner of this (hope to be) great phone.

CONGRATS to all whom have pre paid and those who plan on getting it soon.
