Help Device and Hardware showing inconsistent carriers

Hi,

I recently bought a Galaxy S3 off Ebay advertised for Verizon. I want to root it and install CM 10.1, however, I'm having trouble determing the exact phone I have.

In the build info it's showing my Hardware is SCH-i535 and my bootloader is I535VRALE6, however, it's saying the device is d2spr and the model is SPH-L710.

There is no label on the back underneath the battery, however, it does say in silver print "I535".

I do get 4G reception on Verizon and when I dial *611 it does go to the Verizon customer care.

How do I determine exactly which phone I have so I can properly root and move to CM 10.1 without bricking my phone?

Thanks for any help!

Mikestony,

Thanks for the quick response!

In the "About Device" menu the model number is SPH-L710, the baseband version is I535VRLHE and the hardware version is I535.10.

To find the device I used an app called "Android System Info" which supposedly reads the system info and it corroborates the information found in the "About Device" menu and lists the device as d2spr.

Another way to tell is to put the device in download mode. It should read what it is right off of the hardware. Since it was bought used, I'm guessing that whomever own it previously changed the build.prop to the sprint version. Only reasons I can think of was a port of a rom, or to use Google Wallet.
