Sure, iPhone 3GS, HTC Imagio (WinMo) and the Nexus One will be on hand, I'll give my honest opinion of how they compare in terms of fit, finish and feel.

I'll give it a shot and let you know how it treated me, but Phil @ AndroidCentral had no issues in his video walkthrough, may check that one out?
 
anyone on a family plan with unlimited texting?

if so, did it try and get you to add a 250 text plan for $4.99 when pre-ordering??

it did this to me but the rep said it was because it's a pre-order and my unlimited texts should roll right over when i get the incredible
 
Can i actually preorder this phone in stores or is it actually online / phone only?

Also, can i add it to the company plan and port my alltel number over myself via the phone when i activate it?

Just ordered 2 phones. One for the wife, who got hers for $99 with the NE2, and one for me at $199 with the upgrade rebate. Thanks to everyone in the forum for their shared knowledge.

By the way, I notice that Skype Mobile isn't listed in the features. Any idea on whether the Inc. will have it?

I posted about that a few pages back. It did that to me when I did my practice run and it did it again this morning. I figured that if I didn't check the box, my unlimited texts would roll over. They'd better.

Personally, I wouldn't pre-order it over the phone. If you do, the $100 rebate isn't instant (I had this problem two years ago). Cutting that sku off the box and waiting for your discount in the mail sucks.

Read what I posted before. You might wanna try calling a rep. They gave me a $90 credit, effectively knocking the price for the second phone down to $109.
 
@ w0rdie Is there a way to Turn off Sense UI and if so is there the nexus live wallpapers and the rest of them that are included in stock android 2.1.

Also I was bummed to hear that the notification light is VERY small and only has two colors..Not a deal breaker but I hoped for different light colors for different alerts.
 
Pre-Ordered with Priority Overnight by 10:30AM :D cant wait....

usually with fedex it says its on the truck and out for delivery as early as 6-7am that morning.... atleast thats what i have noticed for Cleveland....

May be back to check for new stuff before I go get the phone but can't be sure.

Ok...some questions (trying to piece together from myself and others on this thread)

1. Keyboard and Multi-touch - if you hold down the shift key WHILE using your other hand to touch a letter...will you get a capital letter? Like a real keyboard (that's true multitouch)

2. The Dots from the multi-touch - does it really look that bad?!?!?!

3. Signal Strength - It seems to fluctuate - is it just notifying you of that or is it really happening

4. Is it wireless N? (I realize you can't test this unless you have an N wireless router around and no G device is on it)

5. Does it come with a MicroSD?

6. Can app use the 8gb onboard (we have seen review saying no....like can Raging Thunder 2 use it as an example...after you have the app it downloads about 20 meg to your microsd card...can it do that to the nand?)

7. Is it really plasticy? Does it really feel cheap?

8. Someone mentioned in this thread that it does not have a Video player...can you confirm that?

9. Hard to test this one...but if you can I haven't seen it anywhere....does the music player notice the compilation tag (grouping dj mixes and compilation albums together so the artists don't show up in your artist list)

10. Can you do that screen responsiveness test?

Did I leave anything out folks?

True, but I don't think it's going to let me pre-order online for the discount. I'm trying to figure out a way to get the instant rebate and the phone on the 29th, but I'm not seeing it happen. I'm thinking I'll just end up going in on the 29th hoping they still have a few of them so I can purchase one and then just waiting for my damn rebate card.
 
Pre-ordered mine online a couple hours ago. Stoked to say the least. Already wrote my first Android application, just a simple timer with a toggle start/stop button.

I want a case that will wrap the side and the back but leave the front completely open, then i want a screen protector. Anyone know of a case that fits that description for the DI or are there none yet? Also does anyone else think the Zagg screen protector feels rubbery? Im trying to pick which protector to get, i have a 50% off coupon code, but the reviews scare me a bit.

Thanks for a great discussion and so much insider information. This has been one hell of a ride.

I was told to ignore it..which I did. I haven't pre-ordered yet, because I'm going to try and talk to the store about giving me a discount on my wifes phone. My NE2 isn't up until October, though I still get a discount on my line (primary). If the store will cut me a break, I'll wait, if not, I'll order.
