I'm on a BES server, too - so it may be with the Enterprise Activation that it is happening...
Because it is a Google phone, you need a google account associated with it. This is the account that you purchase your apps with.
I may be wrong, but I think you can make a google account with a different email address, not using gmail.
There is a separate email app that comes installed that isn't for gmail.

when you check out it will say "TOTAL DUE TODAY" in red, that is what you will be charged for right away.... it also will say that the changes to your plan wont take effect until you activate the new phone....

Not true at all. If you show up there before the drivers leave the building, the customer service person should gladly help you get your package.

Well, ya' know that liking the look of a phone is a very subjective thing.
I personally NEVER cared for the look of the N1 - at. all. (flame suit on)
The lines in front are just cut kinda weird, i.m.o.
The silvery color running from the top to down under the screen all thick like that, with just a tiny bit of the contrasting color below it always seemed awkward to me.
If you look at the Desire, which pretty much uses the same colors as the N1, but the lines are cut differently, it seems like a much more attractive looking phone.
Now, I'm preferential to black (and cobalt blue), and I much more like the look of the Incredible - not that I think it's the most attractive phone in the world ('cuz I don't). They could have styled a couple things on the phone much better, but overall, a professional, good looking phone.
All subjective, of course.

It all depends on the size of your town. I am actually in an area that FedEx would consider very small. Our priority overnight packages aren't due until 12 noon time. We usually leave the building around 9:30. In an area that has a priority time of 10:30, I would guess they are out of the building around 8 if not a little sooner. Sorry I couldn't give you a better answer, but it really does vary. Plus weather could delay flights, etc., so it's not an exact time each day. Hope that helps.

Forgive my ignorance, I foolishly got my last Verizon phone at an authorized retailer and don't think they gave me my NE2 discount, but do you actually get $50 or $100 off the $199 price if you're upgrading after 20 months?
If so, when I upgraded my fiance's phone to the Eris in February, why did I pay $79.99 like it said on the tag (this was at an official Verizon store)?
Should I be getting the Incredible for $99 or $149 when I upgrade in 2 weeks?

I got up this morning and went ahead and preordered since I couldn't get through last night.
- Added a 5th line to my family plan which allowed me to get the Incredible for $199. Instant 100 rebate because I did it online. Therefore there are few benefits from getting it at Best Buy.
- No Activation Charge
- Free 1 day shipping
- Gave my old Verizon number to my brother, since I use Google Voice anyway nothing is going to be hurt in the transition which is awesome.
- I added my Google Voice number to my Friends and Family and none of my calls use minutes. Ever.
You install the Google Voice ap on your phone and use it to send text msgs (using data). Give your GV phone # to everyone you want to text and have them send texts to that number instead of your normal #. You receive the texts via the GV ap. When you sign up, make sure you turn OFF sending the texts to your cell phone (via sms) and to your email - then you'll just get them via the GV app. I think that's how it works, anyway, can't try it out until I get my phone.
I do know you can send / recv text on your computer via GV - I have tried that and it's pretty neat.

Anyways wow it's taken me a while to catch up but I'm so happy that everyone else is catching our excitement about this phone!
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had contacted Case Mate to inquire about phone cases? (If this should be moved just tell me!) Because I was hoping they'd make a case with a credit card holder like they have for the iPhone, because those cases are pretty sweet.

Don't you use minutes when people call you? So unless you turn off the caller id, and everything looks like it's coming from your GV number, you'll use minutes on incoming calls.

I believe you're automatically enrolled in NE2 if your monthly bill is above $39.99 or something like that.

Many many thanks, as far as i can tell u cant make an account using an existing (hotmail) address. Someone correct me if theres a way.
Also i'll be using an exchange account and a hotmail account and possibly now a gmail account, can i get seperate icons for all these accounts?
Im assuming gmail will have its own thing and the default mail icon will work for exchange but can i add another one for hotmail.

That is true. But you can have caller announcement turned on in Google Voice so while incoming caller ID would show your Google Voice number and not the caller's number you could still figure out who it is by announcement.
I have it setup that way as well. You have to turn off caller-id so your google voice number shows each time. Then for outgoing you have to add the outgoing number google voice uses. This way all incoming and outgoing are free. The only problem I have noticed lately is that google voice keeps saying unknown caller for all callers coming in even though when you log into the account it shows the callers number.
