Help Razr Maxx won't load past Droid Eye

I lost my phone in February in the snow, and activated an old phone on my line. But then someone found the phone and returned it to me in May, and they were able to get the phone to turn on and boot to the main screen, and called my emergency contact. I got the phone back and tried to turn it on, but it would not load past the Droid Eye. I have tried the factory reset through the Android OS, but that did not work either. Is it possible to reinstall the OS completely, or is the phone doomed?

Yes, but it technically voids your warranty.

If you are willing to try it, check the all things root section for how to use fastboot files.

I assume that if you took it back to where you bought it that they could restore it for you. When it was not in your possession you have no idea what might have been done with/to it.

I'm thinking that option 1 of this utility would likely get your on your way. However you should read the thread to fully understand what it will do and determine for yourself if that's the fix.
