I personally really like that video on the Incredible. Also, it has 720p capabilities and a simple root or ROM update can easilly bring that out. Who knows? Maybe it'll be awesome? Either way, this phone is much better than the Iphone and despite the front-facing camera......I don't think it's going to make a splash. People will be using phones for generations to come because sometimes we don't need anyone seeing us in our pj's talking to someone. That's a very weak selling point to me. The incredible's design make use of the processor in a very efficient way (hence the decision to make the battery only 1300 mah). The camera takes amazing pictures IMO. There's no way I'd take an Iphone on a crappy network over the Incredible on a superior one. Hands down it's a great buy.
 
One last question before submitting:

What do I put for shipping? The free shipping or overnight? I want to get it on the release date like they are promising but I don't know which shipping I do.

Dang, you guys need to relax on your replies to supraman21.
He is making legitimate comparisons to existing and future phones (iPhones) in terms of picture qualities and other features. He has made some good points. Whether you agree or disagree, there's no reason to shun him like you are doing. There's no reason for him to "move on", he is just as welcome here as anyone else. Supraman, please stay. We need more people here willing to voice their opinions, even if they are in the minority.

We're still here, well...at least I am. Not sure about the other guys. Honestly not sure how much I'll be here after this phone is released. I sure have had fun since October when I first came to this forum though. It's a great place and a growing community and it's great that they promote members from within and put great leaders in place from within the forum. +1 to all of the great posts in the past couple of days. I've just kinda been watching from the sidelines and waiting for this phone to drop.
 
How are you people getting your NE2 moved up by 4 months? Mine is in 4 months, and two people I have talked to have refused to move it, telling me it is not possible (that is demonstrably false so long as you are not all lying, which I am pretty sure is the case).

So, how did you do it? I stressed the moving from a dumbphone to a smartphone (although that may not work as I had a smartphone before), and the longtime customer thing. So, tips?

I don't think his original post was that bad. Sure he could have listed the no HDMI out as a con for the iPhone, and probably been a bit more fair in his comparisons, but I don't think he started it. It felt more like him responding to the criticisms, rather than trying to instigate them. I could be wrong, but that's just the impression I got.

I could vouch for doubletwist. and if you are used to itunes, the switch over is unbelieveably simple. the interface is almost exactly the same, with the exception of the pop up window that shows when you play a song in it.

WRONG. People here tend to define trolls as "anyone who disagrees, whether they are doing so respectfully or not."

To make it absolutely clear, here is the definition of internet troll as per Wikipedia:

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response[1] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

By this definition, some of our top posters here are more "trolls" than Supraman21. I applaud his subjective comparison, even if I don't fully agree. You guys need to relax. Big time.

I agree, this forum is for everyone. I think it was his "Fanboy" remark and bad grammar that set people off! :D

Personally I like other opinions and points of view. However, there comes a point of it being somewhat inapropriate for an Android forum. Comparing is great. Going on and on and on and on about how great the iPhone is, past version or upcoming unconfirmed edition, is just a bit much.

I'm not saying that he needs to go.. or anyone needs to go. Just consider what forum you're on. If you really are an apple fanboy, you gotta expect your gonna be thrown to the wolves if you come in here.

After the 5th try I finally was able to pre-order the Incredible. The phone is awesome and it does almost everything you need it to do.

If any of you find the phone can't do something that you want, just download the complier to create your own application.

I can't wait for the phone to arrive.

I don't think that they are lying. My NE2 was 07/11, and I got mine moved up to 04/17/10.
You just have to be nice and persuasive.

Right, but I believe he was called a fanboy first for defending his opinion on why he felt iPhone video quality was better. Folks here and getting defensive about his stance make them look like bigger "fanboys" than he would be considered.

I am super stoked for the Incredible too, but it's refreshing to have someone come in and explain their own views, even if they imply "our phone" isn't the God of phones.

My thoughts too...it's been fun! I'll keep coming back especially since this is my first experience with android and i'll need to keep up with the tricks, apps, accessories, etc...

There hasn't been any confirmation that this phone will support 32gb. Has there? I think anyone who said anything about 32 has been going on their assumption that even though it says 16 it will take 32 also. It would be pretty foolish to spend all of that money before anyone even knows, for sure, that it will work. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok I take the HDMI part back cause at the time I was thinking of the Evo and how cool it would be to hook your phone up to your HDTV. Can your further explane the video part? If meant I posted a VGA video than I didnt know I did. Ive seen the 800x480 videos and they are almost the same. They both are pixalated and have a bad frame rate. Also the audio quality is on par with my old Razr. If you have gone to Gizmodo and have read the article on the iPhone they clearly state that the back of the iPhone is either glass or ceramic. The Incredible is confirmed plastic. I nit pic the hell out of what ever my purchase is gonna be. I dont make a lot of money and this will be a big purchase. I suffer greatly from buyer remorse. It sucks honestly. Im just not getting how im being called a troll. I know a troll when I see one. Im a member of N4G ( News for gamers ) and the whole PS3 vs X360 is crazy. That site is filled to the brim with trolls. Then again I know how bad apple fanboys can be.
