Yea sorry I didn't put much thought into the list. I just started typing what ever I could think of. I cant believe you haven't heard about the leak of the new iPhone. Its everywhere. Some guy found it at a bar and gave it to Gizmodo. They took it apart and found apple branded parts and they also contacted the owner who was a technical engineer or something for Apple. Check the site if you wanna see pics and videos. I most likely will stick with the Incredible. Android and Sense UI is amazing
I've heard about the leak and I read the article, but they weren't able to get very far with the phone. Showing the hardware is nice, I guess, but the inside is what's important to me. The reception bars mean nothing. More than one reviewer said that while the Incredible showed only one or two bars, the phone was still getting great reception. A display can be misleading.

I didn't see anything on Engadget about them getting past that first screen. When they do, I'll start taking what they have to say seriously.

does your hover board have built in gps navigation, hd satalite radio, and rocket boosters. if not i heard steve jobs is making one. it can also wash your car for you and walk the dog, but it wont feed the dog. soo disapointing that it cant even feed the dog.

having a hoverboard that can feed a dog is over-rated anyways.

are you freakin kidding me?

it can't feed the dog?! WORTHLESS, CHEAPLY MADE

I've got a few questions regarding the screen of the Incredible.

  1. It uses the exact same AMOLED screen as the N1 (although for some reason the physical size of the screen on the Incred appears slightly narrower), correct?
  2. The Incredible uses a DIFFERENT touch processing chip than the N1, which is why it doesn't have any of the multitouch issues, correct?
  3. Are both of these points true, and if so, have we confirmed that the Incredible does in fact use the PenTile Matrix pixel arrangement, as described here?

Thanks in advance.
No one knows anything for sure...

1+2. I've seen guesses for both that it is a different screen and and different chip... Will probably take several weeks for this to be proven...

3. this is "fairly" certain (but not 100%)

haha I think you guys are making yourselves look dumber and dumber. If you read my post correctly I said when you lay the phone on its back the lens touches whatever you set your phone on. The iPhone's camera is inside the phone so when you lay it down it doesn't touch anything.

Notice the lens touching the table

Dear sir,

Please note that the material that covers the camera is not the lens. The trim surrounds a piece of glass that covers the camera as well as lens. Upon damaging this piece, it can be replaced. Laying the phone down will not damage any true camera components.

MOST phones "signal" and "battery" bars are not accurate they actually designed them that way :(

It sounds like the Incredible only has a portrait keyboard??? Is this true? No landscape keyboard would suck for me...

I went from a BB Storm to an Eris and I typed everything in landscape. The Eris has both options but I find it more cumbersome to type in landscape on the Eris. Not sure what device your currently on but just wanted to chime in. I was all about landscape until I switched devices.

hey superman take a look at this saturated, pixelated blurry video. pretty horrible huh, i think you should wait for the iphone. i mean look at how awful it is. you would probably be embarassed to show that to anyone.

The video isn't that bad at all for a cell phone. The Incredible is a pretty rock solid phone. It is worth waiting for.

If you like the openness of Andoird then it is perfect for you. If you want a more closed platform then I am sure the IPhone is a great choice for you.

I for one, like how open Android is. It treats developers much better. I picture Android is the future for App Developers.

Does anyone know if someone has to sign for the overnight delivery or will they just leave it on the doorstep

I ordered my Incredible today and the checkout said in red the phone required signiture for delivery. Every phone from verizion I have ever received did as well. Unfortunately I usueally have to call FEDEx and have them hold and drive 40 miles to pick it up.

I think the lens is recessed back, it's just touching the trim ring around the lens.

SUPRAMAN: think about this one logically... yes, the iphone camera is inside the camera. however, the LENSE of the iphone camera IS ONLY AS GOOD as the condition of the back (UNREMOVABLE mind you) cover on the iphone. just because the actual lense might not get scratched, if the layer on top of the camera lense is scratched, you're still screwed because that's what the lense sees. us looking dumb? quite the contrary.

ya know, i didn't really care at your opinions at first, but dude, you're beating this to death. what would you like us to say?

the incredible is not a digital SLR. it is not an HD camcorder. we understand that. please go ahead and get the iphone. it is quite obvious that is what you're leaning towards. i don't understand why you keep bringing up the same thing over and over again. this PHONE is not going to be making any movies soon. i'm sure the iphone will have IMAX capabilities built in, so you should wait for that.

I see the camera casing touching the table. But surely the lens itself is recessed. I would be shocked if the lens is flush with the outer edge of that casing.

That said, it does seem that the phone will be prone to wobbling when laid like that. It'll be one of the things I look at when my DI is in hand.

i know, i was actually trying to be sarcastic cause some dude has been comparing the incredible to the magnificent, manufactured from adamantium, with built in gravity field generator iphone 4g. apparently the iphone 4g is soooooo much better than the incredible. and hes disapointed that its made out of plastic and not some high grade metallic alloy like the iphone.

(1) yes it does appear narrower which is kind of weird.

(2) I do believe this is correct but it has not been proven YET for certainty

(3) Refer to #2:D
