Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] cannot connect to camera

As the title says .. I can take a single photo, then the camera freezes and gallery FC's on me. I understand this is starting to become a common'ish problem amongst the 4.2.X users

Currently running BB7.

Tried fixing permissions (777).
Installed newer files into /cameradata
Fixing the entire folders permissions
Wiped everything .. EVERYTHING and doing a clean install of BB7/Unified Gapps

I'm still having the same problem.

I tried downloading Carbon .. But kept getting a bad file/empty zip.

So I don't know what to do. I've followed all the steps to fixing it and no dice
