Help How to reset Ace without losing data?

Hi,

I was having problems with some apps so i thought restarting the phone will be good but unfortunately it can not start anymore. It only shows the Samsung logo.

I tried to Wipe cache and restart but no luck

I know i can use wipe data / reset option but i have some contacts and photos on internal memory so i do not want to lose them.

How can i reset my Ace without losing my contacts/photos on internal memory?

PS: I do NOT use any custom roms/root or whatever, its original android version.

I don't think a factory reset would help. Most probably you will have to flash a fresh samsung firmware, and that will wipe out everything.

Hi, you must did something else, cause phone doenst get stuck in samsung logo only with restart.
If you can connect phone to PC and run kies, use that to save personnal data, like contacts.
If phone doesnt reboots, then you have to use ODIN to flash samsung firmware, see here, is very easy.

Thanks for your help qashqool, unfortunately i could not connect to phone via kies,
could you tell me what is the difference between flashing firmware with odin and wiping data on recovery mode? If i use odin can i save my contacts/photos on internal memory?

Hi, photos are in SD card, not in internal storage, you can take it off and read it with PC ( USB support or card reader) you can even copy everything of your card to PC, doesnt need connect phone to PC.
But contacts are in system folder and will be erased with new firmware, if you dont have backup of them.
If your phone is stuck in samsung logo you havent much choice, maybe someone knows a better way. I cant be more useful.
