What do websites look like on the Nexus 10 with its high resolution?

Yesterday I was on the verge of buying the Nexus 10 (I've wanted one for ages).

The one thing that puts me off is that I want to be able to show clients examples of work (I'm a website designer).

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and I think in landscape mode it's something like 1280 pixels wide, which means websites that are around 900 - 1,000 pixels in width fit the screen nicely (see the BBC News website as an example).

The thing that bothers me with the Nexus 10 is that the resolution is so high, there will be huge gaps down the side of websites that aren't configured to fill the entire viewing area (that's a lot of websites, since many designers stick to a standard width of 960 pixels at the moment).

I know Chrome and other browsers have some functionality where they zoom in on the page to make it fill the screen, but this could result in "blurry" graphics.

Could anyone who understands what I'm talking about comment on this and put me out of my misery so I can go order one :-)

I'm no web expert but I can show you what a website looks like. Forgive me if the pic doesn't attach. I'm trying the new Tapatalk. This is one of the busiest websites I know of and it fits the entire length of the tablet.

Many thanks for that, I checked out the website in question and on a desktop it appears to be 1022 pixels in width, and as you've mentioned it appears to fill the screen on the Nexus.

What I'm not sure of is whether the tablet/browser has a setting which is making it zoom in on the pages, or whether like the iPad each pixel is made up of 3 or 4 "sub-pixels" which means its display area is the same as other tablets but everything is sharper.

But based on your screen-cap it seems more promising for me.
 
Depending on the site resizing can make graphics blurry. When it does do one for one it is quite sharp. You will notice a huge difference usually if you rotate to landscape if the site seems a bit blurry. Better have good eye sight though........

Actually set graphics, JPG's and the like, are rescaled on web pages. This can make them a bit blurry at times. Not real bad but noticeable, I find while text in boat browser can get small so do the pics so in boat browser in landscape mode it is a bit better.

Then again with my glasses I have 20/10 vision so I can see the blur where others may not notice.....................
