Music player and sd cards

So hello everyone. I am new to this place and I seek for help. As the title suggests it is related to the music player, more accurately the samsung music player on the galaxy y.

So the problem i have is that i recently ripped an audio CD which then i got wav files. I can play it with no problem but i cant seem to get the album out of the "sd card zone" in the music player. I tried using the MP3dit and the iTag apps but with no success since they couldn't manage this file tipe.

By the way i use ubuntu unity 12.10 so can I use any tag writter (or whatever they call it) before i transfer the files to the sd card?

Not sure about tags on WAV files. Have you tried ripping or converting to MP3 and trying to update the tags on them?

Actually no. I haven't converted and then update the tags. Might just be that that is missing.

Yeah, you can't add tags to wav files (that format only allows audio, no metadata afaik), so they would definitely need to be converted before you could tag them.

Yeah, they're called id3 tags: Home - ID3.org
