Help Ghost in the machine - HTC Magic Spontaneous Reboot

So, this morning my HTC Magic (Rogers) spontaneously rebooted. Everything seems to be working fine, but I've never seen that. Has this happened to any one else?
 
Oh my , This happened to me yesterday too!

I literally pressed menu to unlock it and as soon as , the phone gave a quick Vibrate and rebooted.

It hasn't happened Since ............ It's never hapened before though

Maybe it was some sort of update we all received on an app but to be honest it will be quite impossible to Narrow it down :(

But , As long as it doesn't happen again. It's fine by me!

By the way , sometimes when I press the Home button the background loads and then the Widgets and icons load. It's really annoying and happens a few times a day. Anyone else getting that?
 
Yes, thats a 'me too' again :-)

I always thought its a case of the OS & the hardware trying to catch up with each other.

Annoyingly, this happens with most phones, even the much vaunted iPhone which popular opinion & Apple marketing blurb would have you believe is the speediest device ever invented, is prone to this, as I have witnessed on my wifes one.

I just love the iPhone ads, where it shows you a speedy device in operation, then in small letters at the bottom of the screen it says "sequence shortened, usually takes a lot longer than that" or words to that effect.
