Actually, I learned last year that younger volk think that psych is a new term and they spell it sike. Probably heard growing up. Sike/psych means the same thing but it dates back to the 60s.

Someone once tried to tell me that I was wrong, it's a mental thing, usually when you get the better or fake someone out.

Which - yeah - hence, psych.
