Thnx! I've been on xda for years, looking for news about this phone... I'm really excited for it... I love my photon 4g and want to wait for the xfone to upgrade

it's fine and dandy that they're building it in the USA... just HURRY :p

My Atrix4g is limping along, and there are some quirks about my Atrix where I need to get a new phone.

I'm a bit disappointed that the first offering of the XFON won't come with the stock android OS - at least from the sounds of the article, XFON will have the option loaded to it nearing the end of the year :\

I hope this is just mid range one and there will be real top flagship one that is at least on par with GS4, One. Otherwise Razr HD will be my last Moto phone. Even at 300 I don't see it's worth of upgrading from RHD.

Samsung was heavily criticized for relying too much on gimmicky software features without any real wows on the hardware in GS4. Seems Moto is playing the same for X phone. But at least GS4 hardware spec was top level at that time. Given Moto's current position I don't think they can just get away with mid range spec.

I for one am really looking forward to this phone. I am currently using a Galaxy Nexus with Cyanogenmod on it and it really doesn't perform as snappy as I would like. If the Moto x has similar internals as the Nexus 4 I would be completely fine with that. The Nexus 4 seems very smooth to me. The improvements I really care about most is battery life, pricing and great call quality. A near stick experience in a simple understated design like what I am seeing in the Moto X would be perfect for me.

Can't forget SD card support. That was the only thing that stopped me from buying the nexus 4. A maximum of 12gb of usable storage is petty, my droid incredible 2 came with an an SD card that had more memory -_- Don't make the same mistake twice Google!!!

All reports point to it not having one unfortunately. Honestly no one should expect it to have one. Good went away from that years ago.
