It wasn't directed at you. Read the thread, along with the multiple other ROM threads, and you'll find countless amount of problems related to battery life.

If people skim the thread, which most people do, they'll come across those letters. My hope was that someone can find it easier by making it big, bold, and red. It wasn't an irritated post... it was meant to be helpful for anyone who can't find this information.
 
BH_Man, Thanks for your time. Quick question, do I have to recycle the battery for the revision? I just spent last 4 days recycle the battery for 1.6 new firmware.

The Biggest Problem is People not Rebooting the Phone after a Charge & Turning on & OFF Wireless Location...

???? Just make sure your battery is fully charged before flashing!

Anytime you Flash to another Rom the Battery will need to Retrain it's self.
 
BH_MAN (or anyone who KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING),
is it at all possible to install the TwLauncher from your R8 build and put it on this ROM? I have tried to put it on this ROM's previous release, but it keeps giving me an error message that states "AdvancedLauncher could not be installed on this phone" any ideas on what thats all about? i am willing (but apparently too stupid) to try an adb install but i need the commands verbatim. (i would like to PULL the file(s) to C:\BackupPhoneFiles and PUSH them from there as well)
I also get the same message while trying to install the "news & weather" app. I have tried to back them up using ASTRO (and believe I was successful), but thusfar unable to install them from ASTRO
 
There is no TwLauncher in R*? not sure I understand what you're trying to do..
The BH2 system needs Twiz launcher & that's why I had to merge parts with it into Advance Launcher for it to work correctly.
 
what i want is to have 7 home screens as on the r8 ROM. also, what about the news & weather app (and possibly any others i encounter this problem with)?

also, what would i need to do to REPLACE the default messaging app with Handcent? I want to do this so I can stop getting double notifications when i receive a text message.
 
The home Screen you can change by hitting Menu > More > Extended


This is more a Default look minus the Changes I made to the launcher..

tried that...gives me that message and wont let me install it from astro. do i copy & paste it from the mem card to C:\PhoneBackups and then adb push? if so, i need the adb commands verbatim (like you're explaining to a 5 year old cuz thats what adb makes me feel like)
 
what does the "allow mock locations" setting do in the development menu? what will/will not happen if this box is not checked?

btw, got adb to push my file and the app is now there. thanks for all the help i've received on this!
 
Woh I think we have a major bug, just noticed it today. If I have the date/time set to automatic, it thinks its thursday, and well its wednesday. lol I came into work thinking its thursday till just a few mins ago.

Haha that reminds me of The Office episode where Jim and Pam trick Dwight into thinking it was Friday... when it was actually Thursday. So he didn't show up to work on Friday. LOL :D

Sorry man I mistook what you were trying to do. Usually when people type in all caps in threds or email it means they are yelling. I've read countless threads of people saying condescending things to others in caps or big letters. That's why I said "easy buddy". It was a simple misunderstanding. I was wrong for assuming you were "yelling" at everyone. However, you would be wrong in assuming I haven't read the entire thread from back to front.

or you can standard apk install this news and weather app, no adb needed. :)
