SimCity, or other Sims

How many of us enjoy playing Sims games?? I got SimCity from AMD for free, and have to say, sims games on the PC are much better than they are on the console. Do any of you like to play the Sims series?

Been forever since I played Sim City. I remember playing Sim Earth way back in the day (On Win 3 I think). Everyone always died from some plague though.
I was lazy and always used the cheat codes to build the largest skyscrapers, it was fun. I'd put airport after airport next to each other, it was out of control. :)
Sim Life or The Sims, whatever it's called, never appealed to me.
One of my favorite games like it was Roller Coaster Tycoon. I loved that game!

I played the sims for a while, but I'm sick of getting milked by EA with all these expansion packs for content that should have been available from the beginning

I still play SimCity for the SNES every once in a while and actually got my first Megalopolis city earlier this year. I always had such an issue getting there as polution would always seem to ruin my property values and thus hurt population growth.

Though this is old, it seems that rollar coaster tycoon is suppose to come to iOS & Android.
Roller Coaster Tycoon coming to Android Q1 2013
Though it seems as if they have obviously hit a delay or issue as it's not out yet. I'm anxously awaiting it though because I'm going to get it.

Since the game was given to me free by AMD I of course didn't buy the game. I an against everything EA. I don't want to explain too much, but I really dislike the company, and they are on my boycott list. Its a shame, because Battlefield 4 looks so amazing, but until Dice moves away from EA, I will never buy battlefield because of EA. I will never buy a EA game, as I do not support them.

On the contrary, the Sims games are pretty chill, but there's always going to be something to keep you from being great. Like pollution, or a giant lizard, fire breathing, dinosaur.

I had to quit playing the Sims because I was so mean to them. I wouldn't let them go to the bathroom or I would leve them in the pool and take out the ladder or wall them up in the house and catch the place on fire. I was an evil God.

I play the sime 3 and looking forward to the release of sims 4. Why does everyone hate EA? Doesn't anyone know how much the download/update is from the installation to offline play on simcity?

I hate EA because their games never work. They constantly shut off and kick people from this servers and make the games unplayable. I can't play battlefield 4 anymore and EA won't do a gosh darn thing to help me. There for I will never buy another EA game again. I have had it with them.

Now I understand, I'm not an online player. Play single player and play at local lans so I haven't had any problems with EA.

I love playing Sims sometimes ) Just installing sims or simcity, playing for a few days and uninstalling it >.< and then again after few months or years I feel a need to play it :) Still have no idea why I'm doing this

You interested in playing the Sims 4?

The sims is one of those games that I think should be a PC exclusive. I have no idea how it could work on a console, just like Total War, Civilization, Counter Strike, etc

Hmm old thread, but did you guys end up grabbing Sim City? I was recently thinking of picking up a copy and wanted to find some peeps to build next to online. It sounds like that helps your city to run a community of cities next to each other. Each city can then specialize in one of business / commercial / education / etc.

I much prefer PC too but some of the civ games are supposed to work well on mobile from what I hear:

Hmm, like the recent Sim City? I heard very bad things regarding it? :(

Like the whole always online thing and such. I will definitely not be getting it.

Civ 5 is a great game, it just always takes so long for me to play it that I get bored haha :). Ghandi is always a pain in my butt too and kills me off later in the game.

I have Civ 5 (think I got it during a Steam sale) but I haven't really played it much. As for the new Sim City, nope. Never going to buy. Not after how its launch went. I have Sim City 4 though and occasionally play it.

I remember playing the original Sim City on an Amiga 500. Top down 16 bit graphics. Ace :) Also the original The Sims and maybe err Sim City 3000 a bit. Lost track of all the recent releases though.

Cheers

Nick

I have simcity too and just pre-ordered the sims 4

I got the demo really early too and love the way to make new sims
