some interesting stuff that's being said . a lot of rumors and speculations but that's what makes it so sweet . in the end its great to be a sprint customer :-)

Jackson it's getting overwhelming a bit lols . But ......................... keep it going haha

I heard an interesting rumor from Dan today. It made sense to me after i really thought about it. I think HTC and Sprint are holding back on some of the details on the phone so apple can't go back and make there iPhone HD a better competitor. I mean HTC scored big after all the leaks that have happened with the iHD (i'm coining that btw). What would have benefitted them by giving out all the specs back in March of the phone if it wasnt coming out until June anyway? This way apple and other companies are still confused.

Eh, not so sure on that. All of the companies I'm sure have a pretty good idea of whats going on - they all have their sources. As people switch companies within the industry, you get contacts and know things the public doesn't. At this point in the game for both the Evo and next iPhone, really the majority of the phones are done I would think - its just a matter of polishing and production. Nothing that either company does at this stage in the game will have any significant impact on the other...and they already know things about the other that we don't. That's the nature of the beast.

Exactly my man. Thats why i do what i do. It keeps being a Sprint customer exciting. Sure we don't have those cool map adds, come to think of it i don't even think we have a map, but hey we got 4G and we can do almost anything with it!!! That's why its soo exctiting you'll see what i mean in about a month haha

Jackson

ehh sprint funn, not true. This stuff is soo locked up hence why i am the ONLY person who has really leaked anything

ok i'm pissed that some of the Verizon guys already have their Incredibles in hand and i'm still stuck holding nothing but my junk in my hands until at least early June. didn't ours get announced/leaked first? life is not fair. sorry for the bitching but it makes me feel better.

best for last :D

lmao ! Gekko chill man . Verizon waits just as long . only reason it seems fast for them is because they wait until the release is a few weeks away then announce . we knew about the evo in supersonic form since the incredible in leaked road maps . same waiting time different methods my man . why do you think people in the incredible threads were so heated when it wasnt announced . they heard about for months and nothing so verizon makes up for it by announcing it close to release .

at the end who will have the better phone and probably get better throughout the year of having it because of the apps and etc that will be developed . i think when it's released it will still be in the making . sprint is just getting warmed up

One thing I can definitely imagine with 4G are a lot more streaming apps, obviously Netflix is working on their own app, and I can imagine perhaps some big networks putting out similar apps for their movies/t.v. shows.

What would be great would be able to rent a brand new movie on the spot and own rights to it for 24/48 hours and be able to stream it near instantly on 4G.

Sprint will most certainly overhaul the Sprint T.V. programming as well, perhaps include more full-content shows (instead of just smaller clips), and at higher quality at that.

Another great thing I can see happening are music-streaming apps such as Pandora and Last.fm offering higher-quality streaming depending whether you are on 3G or 4G. As it is now, Last.fm offers 64 kbit mp3 streaming for 'low quality mobile streaming', not sure how much Pandora offers.

I do know Pandora offers 192-kbit mp3 streaming on a computer, however, so having a phone able to stream 128-kbit mp3's, or even up to 192-kbit certainly seems doable with a better connection (Personally I think the sweet spot is 224-kbit, but that likely won't occur for some time)

That made my afternoon :D.

i'm sure LA was one of the places it said it would be coming to soon some time this year . when exactly idk .

and that netflix just hit it on the spot . i was just thinking the same thing . so many people use netflix. that would definitely rival with t-mo's blockbuster . i think netflix would be more successful if this comes in play and i'm not saying that just because i'm with sprint . i'm just being realistic .

At CTIA, Hesse said a lot of 4G apps are in development and there will be a lot of them. The ones he was focused on at the time were medical apps. One scenario he gave was an EMT video conferencing with the doctor in the ER so the hospital was better prepared for the patients arrival. He also said the EVO could become a medical instrument, but he didn't elaborate beyond saying the patient could cough into the phone and that could relay information.

when is the 4g network hitting Los Angeles and is it gonna expand to surrounding county's?

so your saying we'll be able to stream movies straight to our phone? will this work with 4g only?

The first new Windows 7 series phone has leaked...similar specs to the Evo but not supposed to launch until Q4

Also saw this today. No idea how real it is.

hm that's new . i never seen a big screen and then a portrait slide . creative thinking but still not interested . hope it does good for windows sake .

Yea...kind of an interesting design to have such a huge portrait sliding phone. I'm interested to see how Windows Mobile 7 does...I think it looks boring personally.

does anyone know when 4g will be available in Los Angeles, and when it hits there, will it cover Orange County (next county over) also?
Try a search. Los Angeles is coming by the end of the year. No idea about Orange County.

It looks nice but it is no EVO. GSM is no good.

That looks ridiculous. Those specs are hardly believable.

haha i'm gonna get you Drex lmao

The apps on this are anything but vanilla. The fb app is just as good as having a computer in front of you, and damn do those videos you can leave on a buddies wall are sick...

And youtube, is like triple chocolate fantasy, its made specifically for that phone, and in my opinion is better than the computer...

Let's not forget about the qik app either... Oh yeah and the hundreds that will be available in the market...

Jackson

wait, you're saying there will be a new facebook application?
