OK those force closes are not attributed to the kernel.Yep. I get FCs for Amazon and a couple others but I have removed/restored several apps lol

So now the final step is very easy. We now need to delete an app that would normally brick the phone.
Such apps I can think of are google books and google videos which come in the form of a single app named videos.apk.
To delete this app, with any root explorer navigate to /system/app and delete videos.apk and videos.odex. Then reboot your phone. If all is well, your phone will boot up normally and we'll have confirmed success on the kernel.
Once you've done this, let me know.
Here are the next steps right above your quote.I dont know if you will se my edit from before but I also installed it, and I am awaiting for instructions and I have a computer handy if needed.

Fantastic! You now have a fully working Kernel.I didnt have a Videos.odex but I had videos.apk I deleated that and rebooted and phone still starts normally
Fantastic! You now have a fully working Kernel.
So now I'll start a new thread in a few minutes for the Kernel with all the details. When the thread is up, don't forget to swing by and click the thanks button. It's all I ask for in return for my time and work.
Thanks you for testing.![]()
Ok thanks for your work with the kernel and other things, also is there a fix for the cannot connect to camera? ive been having that issue and it bothers me it fixes when I wipe it but with no other thingsOK it's now up....
[KERNEL][VS870]LOKI] Modded Unsecure Kernel
Now I have to test recovery for a similar phone and if it works for that one, then it'll work for this one. I'll keep checking in.
Your rom just needs some adjustments to boot. We'll cover that later on.
Sorry, I don't own this phone, so there's no troubleshooting I can really do without it.Ok thanks for your work with the kernel and other things, also is there a fix for the cannot connect to camera? ive been having that issue and it bothers me it fixes when I wipe it but with no other things
not sure, but I will keep an eye out here. Oh and btw, where are you guys getting source code?
So the Lucid 2 sections of the forums seem to be pretty dead lately.... Is there some way i can help get the ball rolling when it comes to making a rom?
I dont really know much but I am down to help any way I can.
I wanna port a custom for lg lucid 2 the custom rom I wanna port is the cyanogenmod KitKat ROM the version I wanna use is the LG Spectrum version of it and port it the lg spectrum has a dual core as well. It's also Snapdragon just like the LG Lucid 2 is this possible?
I am aware that it also matters about DPI and resolution... HOWEVER I found a work around for that on XDA.. Also thanks for the testing support I'm not worried about bricking I have bricked this phone more times then I can count I have a method of I unbricking I use everytime I have the stock firmware on my box account (in case they remove it from the websites) and a flashing program on my box account it flashes the .CAB file I even once deleted the whole ROM in cwm touch.. And the method worked. But I'm gonna do this I'm dying for my piece of the KitKat bar.. So I'll try everything I can to get as close as possible I dont think lg lucid 2 will be getting the official KitKat ever cause the lg lucid 1 is still on ICS .. And the lg lucid 3 came out with KitKat and after seeing the specs for lucid 3 and seeing the almost exactly same specs as lucid 2 I know its possible . I'll keep you updated on progressDo the phones have the same screen dimensions? I seem to remember that being a factor in porting roms... It's probably possible but if it is it's probably a lot of work and would probably take a considerable amount of android/linux knowledge... Also, since this phone isn't really popular you might not have much support if you got stuck.
I hope you can do it, I wish I could help more. If you get anything going I will be happy to test it. Good luck.http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Main_Page

By any chance can you get me a lg lucid 2 system image file I plan on using a program called ROM Porter and I need the "base ROM"Hope you can get it going, and am still happy to test if needed. Have bricked mine a bunch of times too and don't mind doing it again. Good luck and thanks for even attempting it.
