My take on the next 5 years cell phone is this..

Take the HTC dual screen touch tablet and make it a triple screen.

Introducing the Sprint HTC Viper 5G coming to the Now Network June 2015. lol
With Android 5.1. Front screen your regular touch for calendar etc, open the book up and you have your extra wide browser.

I don't get why people are so hyped up over rumored future phones when the EVO and other great phones are out now/will be out soon.

I understand the desire to have the latest and best tech, but even if any phones do materialize out of those "dream" specs, they won't be out this year.

Good luck waiting 6+ months for a device that may or may not exist, when you have an awesome phone like the EVO coming out relatively soon which will remain relevant for at least a year.

Oh that's right, you don't even have to wait 2 years to upgrade since most of us here are Sprint Premier members.

Stop being so incredibly impatient, I mean, as much as I desire the next greatest thing, I will be more than happy, aNd One could even say satisfied with the next evolution of smartphones.

If everyone here had enough sense, they would do the same.

Detroit is still one of the top 15 or so largest cities in the country, and definitely one of the top 10 metro areas.

Why we don't have it yet, or aren't planned, is beyond me.

EDIT: Based on the 2000 census, 11th largest city (Detroit) and 11th largest Metro area (Detroit - Warren - Flint - Livonia.

i'm going on what the manager at my local store told me (here in chicago). said they don't have official word but it's pretty well accepted that it will be june 6. he said it makes sense because sprint has put black-out days on employees so they can't take that sunday or any of the days through the 10th off.

i'm not one to feed an overly active rumor mill and i know this post does that to some extent, but it's from a credible source and has something tangible behind it. we'll see! :)
 
So pretty much some kid named Jackson in Swansea will likely get made fun of and/or beaten up at school tomorrow for being mistaken for someone writing in a phone forum. That is ridiculous... Ridiculously funny.

I just flamed him hard on the Htc Evo Facebook page. lol :) If he hacks my page I will suck his spleen out through his eye sockets!
 
I was just thinking, and I wonder if anyone else wants this like I do.

But I hope someone makes a backing for the phone that covers up the kickstand.

I know I'll never use it, and I'd rather it be covered than have it ever catch on anything.
 
Hey all; sorry it's been a while, but I may be going to the May 12th event here in NYC. Apparently they're being real strict regarding invites (usually media can finagle their way in even if they're not on the guest list).

Whether I get to go or not, my coworker will be there and I'll have them txt me info the second it breaks! Will let you know if I get to go!

A while ago someone said it would be magnetic or something like that so it would stay in place and wont get caught on things.(don't remember who said it tho)
