So - Is it waterproof

With all the latest reveal about what it can do, I've yet to see any confirmation that it can survive an accidental dunking into a pool.


Anyone know? Being Waterproof is one of the only ways I can justify that I can't replace the battery.

From Droid Life : The Moto X is not a water-resistant phone. With that said, Motorola has used water-repellant coating on the outside*and*inside to keep you safe in a rain storm or something that would cause droplets of water to sneak onto your device

Definitely not water proofed, wouldn't survive dropping into a pool, but a few rain drops and it should be fine.

Disappointing. Perhaps irrational, but I have a huge fear of someone thinking it's hysterical to push me into the pool and destroying my phone. Why else lock down the battery door? Gimme waterproof!
