I just called every VZW corp store within a 30 mile radius of me, and none have a demo of the INC to play around with :(

Guess I will just have to wait and continue to furiously collect accessories until then

So I know some people got "accidental" early shipments of their Incredible a couple days ago. I never got an email with a shipping number like they did, and just like many of you called 611 after seeing some photos of the phone to see if I could get mine early. They specifically told me my phone had NOT shipped, and that it wouldn't ship until the 28th. Further more, they told me because I ordered on the phone that I could not get overnight shipping (I tried to insist but they refused) so I'd likely get my phone the 30th....

Funny thing is, yesterday I got an email with a shipping number, and just a few min ago my PHONE ARRIVED!! I'm shocked. It's charging right now.

Thanks to everyone on this site for all the info and entertainment. I've been glued to this thread since December, and (no joke) have sat and read every post each night when I get home from work. I never posted much because I had no real info to add, but tried to put a "thanks" on the useful posts as I read. If there is any unconfirmed info or photos you guys want of the phone I'd be happy to pay the forum back now that my phone is in hand.

Has anyone else received shipping info/the phone after Verizon supposedly put the lock-down on the accidental early shipments??

So glad I waited for this phone....

May I ask....did you place your order online, or via phone?

MUST BE NICE!:D Anyway when I pre-ordered mine it said free overnight shipping was including. I've been confused for days why everyone kept talking about the 'FREEOVERNT' code. I thought all new phones all shipped overnight for free. What am I missing here?

You're not missing anything. In some instances you'll be prompted to use the FREEOVERNT code, but most times you won't. You'll still get it overnight, once the VZW system is instructed to officially recognize the availability of the phone.

Couple of quick questions - if you can help me, wonderful, but if, not, no worries.

1) Would someone out there be able to steer me in the direction of the mammoth 200+ page Incredible owner's manual? I forgot what page it's on. :o

2) has anyone else out there who has pre-ordered their phone received any additional info (tracking info, phone availabilty) that ASSURES delivery on the 29th? Or is it just too early still?

Thanks for any input! :)
The user manual is in the evergreen thread :)

I haven't received anythign official at all, and I ordered on Monday like most people here. I emailed them, and they assured me it was all good to go. Called and got forwarded arond to internet sales and they looked up my order and said that it was on hold, as it should be.

*oh damn, Vtsdan beat me to it

nope, they both are usb micro

looking at the pictures of the input hole on the incredible, and looking at the droid charger... they look different. Maybe your right tho. Anyone who got a phone early, can you confirm that they are the same so I can order a car charger soon! Haha thanks!

1) Its in the Evergreen specs thread which is stickied

2) I wish .... mine still says the same generic stuff most others say

Went back to my local corp Verizon store and was informed that all they got in yesterday was 10 DI and they are pre-selling them for a $50 deposit. To be picked up when they open on Thursday the 29th. They said after the 10 are gone they will have to order them. They allowed me to hold it but it was not turned on (thats what she said :D). It did not feel cheap, light or plasticky. Now to decide if I should cancel my online "pre-order"???

Also, I recieved my black silicone case from Verizon online. It is glossy but does not show fingerprints.

Hey MM,

Owners manual: It's on the bottom of the Evergreen first post.

Take care.

I got to play with one yesterday! Wow that was fun. I'll have one in my hands by this time next week.

The rep. that showed me the phone had mentioned that they had training the day before. He said that someone in the webex asked about "Talk to Text" via bluetooth. The trainer didn't have an answer so he tried it during the training. IT WORKED!

(Bump)

Anyone know if there is a quality difference (or compatibility problem) between the $23 verizon car charger and the ones you can buy for less than $5. How can some chargers sell for $3 or $4? I mean I know verizon is always more expensive, but something seems fishy with the $3 or $4 ones... Thanks!

Enter your location

HTC Incredible (Droid Incredible) Accessories Store

The cheap one will probably break and fall apart, just like my cheap one did. But so might the expensive one. So buy a couple of the cheap ones, it's what I'll probably do.

Or burn your car down if left plugged in overnight.

How about watching movies on it say netflix?

Netflix isn't available on Android phones yet. But, there was a story a couple of weeks ago that Netflix was looking to hire someone to help them to help them with Android. So it will be coming eventually.

Correct. Additionally, one wouldn't be able to watch the standard Netflix stream since that uses Silverlight, not Flash.

Just FYI:

I placed an online pre-order Monday like most people. Yesterday the Credit Card I used for the pre-order was stolen. I canceled the card and quickly called Verizon to change card numbers because I didn't want to delay my shipment. The lady I talked to at first had trouble finding the order. She later found it and said she had to speak with someone that works with the internet orders because she couldn't change the card number on the order. So after being on hold for a while she came back and said that no one was able to update information on the pre-orders and I would just have to wait until I got a Credit Card declined notice via e-mail, I would then have to call them up and change the credit card number.

So if anyone wants to change cards, cancel their orders (yea right) or make any kind of changes, good luck! It seems that Verizon has locked down the Incredible pre-orders pretty tight. Just thought that this information may be useful to some.

Thanks!

i think you should go to best buy and place a pre order there and pick it up on the 29th. they will activate your phone from there. and verizon will still try to charge your credit card, but once its declined they just wont ship it. and you still get your phone on the 29th.

Congrats on getting your phone.

So this means Verizon is creating more hype by allowing certain phones slip and also means the first phones caused viral excitement and didn't fix their "shipping problem". I certainly hope to be one of the lucky persons to get it before the release date.

TV-Out Cable
Verizon Part # VZW6300TVOUT
Available Post-Launch, so on or after the 29th.

Interestingly, this is not the same cable demonstrated in the HTC PR guy's video from WireFly. Not that the cable in the video plugs into that [oddly shaped] microUSB plug on the lower left side of the Incredible. This appears to be an HTC part (not the branding in the video). Clearly, it is not the same 3.5mm cable I earlier presumed it was.

Note the branding and the reference to a second microUSB port for charging - cool:

...but, it is not this VZW cable, which we found in the Launch Package document:

@Nashdroid or @NKT: do either of you know if we can use either one of these two cables? Thanks.
