Hi All, (hope this is the right spot for my questions)

I have a Mini-TV Dual-Core9 on WiFi and Youtube movies have no problem streaming.

Now My Problem,

I have a lot of DVD (Video-TS .vob) on hard-disk on my Asus router\network. I want to stream this over WiFi to this Mini-TV to my TV but it is constant buffering in multiple players. every 20sec buffering.

Is there another way to stream these videos or do I need another video format?
How do I get a normal stream and good picture and 5.1 sound?

kind regards
Eljo

You're in the right spot. :) Raw DVD rips are quite large and high bit-rate. Might not enough bandwidth in your WiFi network. If it's 802.11N, it should be OK. B & G maybe a problem. Other thing with WiFi, the further you are from the router, the slower it gets as a rule. How far is the the Mini TV from the WiFi router, and are there any walls and floors in between? - especially brick or concrete. I live in a place with steel-reinforced concrete floors, and WiFi just does not go through it.

You can transcode them to a lower more compact format and still maintain 5.1 sound. Something like Handbrake or VideoLanClient(VLC) can do that. Both free as well.

Hi Mike, thanks for the reaction.

My WIFI is BG, N and AC Asus but the Mini-TV dongel in the hardware is N. I tried multiple software but none do the trick. In avi MP4 or MKV container. Not Mpeg of H264 aac or MP3.

The router and Mini-TV are 5m apart with a door and hollow walls. No concrete or steal.

I have handbrake but there are so many options I do not know where to find my movie, sound, subtitles and so on.
