Help super slow network??

Ok, as I stated in a previous post, I just switched from the Prevail to the Rush. Just a few hours ago.....I am already noticing that there appears to be a remarked difference in the data speed--and I don't mean that it's better....it's much worse!! Is this normal on the Rush? I thought it would be better with this phone, not worse.. Using speedtest.net my results are 22kbps for download, 178kbps for upload and it pings at 1035ms. Any ideas? Do I need to change some settings?

Could be high tower load in your area. That ping is terrible.
I would say either you have a tower down, or you have really high load on your tower. (Too many users)

I just redid the speed test and now it is download 1330kbps, upload 770kbps and 265 ping. The only thing that I did was update the prl. I don't know if that helped or not, but at least it's better!!

Yea i just switched today from a kyo hydro and noticee its takin forever to dl apps and web pages I updated my prl and it got a lil better but still slowwwwwww

This almost has nor correlation to the topic at hand, but I prefer to have the wifi portion shut off at all times unless I'm at home, in which case I just tap into my internet. My problem is the wifi has a habit of turning itself on, thus draining my battery unnecessarily. Is there a way to rectify this problem? Thanks for your time!

Yeah you just need to turn off the connection unoptimizer

Go to settings>more settings>mobile networks and uncheck connections optimizer

sckboy, you gave out the latitude and longitude in your screenshot and I can tell your street address in Florida. You might want to blur that out.
