I want to switch phones on my MetroPC service.
I have the Coolpad Quattro 4G and want to switch the service to a LG Motion 4G LTE. How do I do that?

Should be easy enough, just dial *228 on the lg motion and they should be able to talk you though it.

No, you just take yours off and place it in the LG Motion

Yes but you need a "UICC" card, not to be confused with conventional "SIM" cards for GSM phones.

Your LG Motion needs a different-sized card (micro) than the one from your Coolpad Quattro (standard).

Go to a metro store, they will be able to do it all for you in about fifteen minutes

You should have a UICC card for each phone when you purchased the phones. Turn the phone off that has service, call *228 from the one you want to activate. Its simple I do it all the time.

So from what I understand I should be able to purchase a phone with a UICC card. Then I should get rid of the phone with service and call 228 on the new one. Is there anything I need to do after calling that number?

If you purchased both phones from MPCS they both should have come with an UICC card programmed for that phone. Power off the Coolpad, call *228 from Motion, choose option to change phones.

You can also do it on MPCS Website.

If you are missing the UICC card for Motion...then you need to go to MPCS to let them do it with a charge$. Or maybe a programmer here on the forum could walk to through it.
