Hi, I have samsung galaxy mini ( android version 2.3.6 ). I bought it new a few weeks ago, and it came with Superuser already installed on it. I heard that you can not install Superuser if you do not have rooted phone. I downloaded Root Checker and the app requested SUPERUSER acces, so I accepted and it said that I am rooted. But the second time I denied request and it said that I am not rooted.. What do you think about this. What do you reccomend me to do? Thanks!

I am going to assume you are rooted. You can open the SuperUser App and clear the stored data and also try to update the binary.

Since you denied the Superuser app when you were checking for Root that is the reason for the error. In order to determine root SuperUser needs to be granted.

Hope this information helps you out.

Famous *superuser* account names on popular operating systems -

Administrator - used by Windows

root - used by all *nix, including Android

If you don't want to run things as root via superuser on your phone, fine - next time you're sitting at your pc and you have to right click something and "Run as Administrator" go ahead and call superuser names there too.

Granting root access via superuser is the same exact thing as right clicking and running an app as admin on Windows.

Same. :)
