Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Well, I'll find out this afternoon.
I was one of those lucky guys who got in on the Best Buy screwup with the HTC Flyer a couple years ago without a hitch. But they locked that one up within an hour or so of the store being open. :)

I just went on the Best Buy website and picked a phone then it asked about plan and I kept that then on the next screen it mentions data and that I must choose but the only option is keep my existing data plan.

Now I just tried Amazon and it want me to pick a new data plan. Same with wirefly.

Back from knee appointment. I was pretty much right about a tendon slipping out of place. He said there is something called an IT Band which is usually a runners problem. I don't run, I hate running. They couldn't do an MRI because I have had no problems for almost 3 days. Best he could do for now is therapy.

No dice on the G2. Lady said when I go to activate it, buy buy Unlimited. :(
Oh and to top it off, the wife's Gnex isn't charging.
If they can't get it fixed, we may be looking at a tiered plan. Going to look at previous bills and see how much we use on average.

I'm at best buy. They can put you on 6gb plan, subsidized G2. So yes a two year contract, not Edge. I'm thinking about it?

Well, looking at a couple bills, we only use about .5Gb-2.5Gb of data. I think it may be time to dump unlimited.

Edit: And just talked to the wife, and it's charging through her PC at work! :)
Still a little worried about it, I'll take a look when she gets home.

My nexus won't let me turn the phone volume down with the button. I have to go into settings. Definitely showing its age. I'm in BB parking lot now, still thinking..

Best of luck, Halon. We both have upgrades available, but we'd lose Unlimited if we go subsidized (no way in hell I'm paying $600+ for a phone). I think it's at the point, we really don't need it.

Damn, I knew I should have pushed more. But, thankfully, coming home and looking at our ACTUAL usage, I just don't think unlimited means much to me anymore. :)
Screw it, I got a few minutes, I'll give Verizon a call. :D

Okay, you guys beat this:

I actually found the new KitKat Android wrapper candy and bought ten of them. Randomly. Pulled only ONE out of the bag, at random, ate the KitKat, and entered the code:

:D

See ya in the Play store!

:p

Alright, Verizon, this is the last straw.
Just talked to a woman right now after reading the statement on DL. Had I NOT cancelled my order this afternoon, they would have honored the upgrade with unlimited. WTH?!?!
Now, there was no way to go back. I'm pissed. :banghead:
I told her about all this misinformation and there was "nothing" she could do. Do you think it's worth trying to talk to someone higher up?

:( :( :(

That's gonna fry the CEO bad, since he just came out against unlimited in a BIG way. I expect the company to employ any and every means possible to end unlimited for everybody. All that much more intensely.

I'm really unhappy about this. I understand they screwed up, but come on. I've been with Verizon since 2000. The same SA I talked to said that all the other carriers have comparable prices! Are you kidding me? Had I read DL before I got to the store, I would have changed my tactics. I guess you can't believe anyone says to you in the store.
