app kills media player

Im new to android (gallaxy note 2) and when I open a game app (tetris blitz) it stops the media player and wont allow external music to play. Is there a way to override the tetris settings and keep my music playing. Preferably without rooting my device.

I would think it has to do with the apps permissions. If it needs the media player to run the app then it will stop your music and use the media player. To find out the permissions you can uninstall the app and before you redownload read the permissions. Hope this helped!
