Would it work in the UK?

I've had a brief look at this phone, and it seems like it might be a lil better than the Nexus 4 for roughly the same price :D
I realise this is only available in the US, but if I were to buy one over there, would it work properly on UK networks? (provided I can unlock it)

I'm not sure about the LTE bands, but either the version for T-Mobile, the gsm developer edition, or the Verizon version of the phone will not be sim locked and should operate on gsm bands in the UK. Even though the Verizon version is primarily a CDMA phone rather than GSM for talk and messaging, it has GSM bands as well, so a foreign SIM will work.

Still, the T-Mobile version may be the best bet...

Alright cheers! So would I still be able to get a HSPA connection with it?
And would you know if I would be likely to see any problems with signal or anything?

It may work but it is not being sold outside the US. As happy as it makes me to see more people realize the awesome that is the Moto X, I'm not sure I would recommend buying it to use somewhere it isn't supported.

It would make me nervous if I was in your shoes Mehta. Supposedly Moto is working on new devices for the UK/Europe though.

That's the answer I was afraid of getting :P I guess it's probably safer to leave it then and get a N4 for the same price :D Maybe upgrade myself to a N5 at xmas too.

Cheers anyway
