I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on this. The battery is obvious, but I'd be interested in a list of what you find better on the Maxx over the S3. - Obviously not the camera at this point. And what you think the S3 excels at.
Thanks you you help.
I'm coming from an S3, and what I've noticed is this:
On the Maxx, call quality & recepetion is much improved, speaker seems almost twice as loud, the GPS is night and day better, Moto's extras (touchless controls, active notifications, & assist) rock, it's ui is as close to stock as we can get on Verizon, & this phone flies!
My S3 really seemed to bog down a lot, and I had a really hard time making it through a day without charging. It's GPS was the worst of any phone I've had, and I ended up with screen burn in (odd since I kept the brightness at 50% or less. The only things I really miss are the ability to swipe a contact left or right to text or call, and no expandable storage (however there is a micro USB card reader that should help).
Otherwise I love this phone, going from around 10-12 hours on a charge to 2 days + is great. And even though most would say the Maxx uses the same generation tech for the CPU, it runs much faster and smoother. Once they get the camera update to it, and I pick up that card reader, it'll be almost perfect (for me at least).
