Help contact sync problem

I am getting The sync is currently experiencing problems will be back shortly error. My last contact sync is showing as Oct 15th anyone know how to correct this or any one else experiencing it? Vzw variant by the way
 
I'm afraid I can't help you with the software issue, but I have had issues in the past where a particular contact or diary entry has caused problems.

You could try syncing with a 3rd party tool, see if that will cope with the problem contact and thus get your regular sync software working again.

I use something called AndroidSync which is OK while not wonderful. It does work over WiFi which is kinda nice, though.

If that doesn't work, check that your contacts are up-to-date on Google. If they are, you could either do a factory reset or use a contact remover app to clear the phone, then re-sync with Google and finally re-sync using your regular software.

I would take a backup before syncing though, just in case the sync software decides everything's been deleted and clears your PC copy :eek:
 
Is this a VZW Contacts Backup/Synch issue? I hardly believe if you have Google Contact Sync enabled, you are having this problem.
 
No it is not backup assistant I made vzw block it since I hadn't used it since the dumb phone days. So that is not syncing. It's just the Google contacts.

worst case scenario I'll try removing my contacts and Re syncing thanks.
 
The problem seems to be with facebook I have it set to sync with existing contacts. When I set to disable sync on fb it is fine.
 
I've had this issue with multiple phones. I only have Google syncing. No Facebook sync, no LinkedIn sync, no Hotmail sync, and no Backup Assistant. Interestingly, what I've noticed is that changes I made to my Google contact list on my laptop show up on my phone, and changes I make to my contacts on my phone show up in Google on my laptop. So it seems to be working even though it says there are syncing errors.
