LG OS Update(s) Record...

Hi,

Am considering getting the G Pad and wondering if it will ever get any OS updates. Asking this as I have heard in the past that updates are non-existent on LG devices.

Up to this point they have been pretty non existent. You are going to have to root it if you want future updates. I hope they start making a bigger effort to push out updates. Supposedly Android 4.4 is going to help a little bit with the fragmentation. Older devices are going to be able to run it pretty well.

Android 4.4 is sounding a lot like the Android version of Windows 7. Polished and without the flaws of older versions.

The just updated the G2 f320.

So far signs are very good that they will be updating their flagships to 4.4.

Thanks for the responses - one says non existent, the other said he got an update, although the update may have been a minor one.

The question should have been will the G Pad get updated from 4.2.2 to 4.3...or 4.4?
