What's the latest update for Samsung Galexy S3? I'm currently running on 4.1.2 but I have been reading some people are running on 4.2 or 4.3. I'm confused how do I get the latest software for my phone I have checked the updates on my phone and says there's recent updates and I'm having problems connecting my phone to kies atm. Thanks in advanced for any replies

On your phone got to settings/system update/check both device firm wear and Samsung update. Both will tell you if your phone is up to date.

The latest should be 4.1.2. Samsung has announced that the S3 is scheduled to get 4.3 in late November. It may vary from carrier to carrier. For official updates, I think 4.1.2 is the most recent. Users who rooted their phone may have gotted a newer update.

4.1.2 officially, 4.2.2 for those that flashed the leaked build, 4.3.1 (I think?) for the rooted crowd

Not sure about other vendors but Verizon has announced a date of 11/22 for 4.3 for the SCH-I535.
